• Walker Buehler (elbow) activated for start vs. MIA
Dodgers activated RHP Waker Buehler off the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Buehler will get a chance to make his first start in 20 months after recovering from Tommy John surgery. The right-hander was up to 75 pitches in rehab starts, and he should be able to work the necessary five innings to qualify for a potential win. Fantasy managers should absolutely give Buehler a chance if he’s still on the waiver wire. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Jakob Junis (shoulder/head) transferred to 60-day IL
Brewers transferred Jakob Junis (shoulder/head) to the 60-day injured list from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Junis now won’t be able to return to the Brewers until the start of June. The 31-year-old is battling a shoulder impingement and was also struck in head by a ball in batting practice. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

  • Drops appeal, serving five-game ban
Peralta dropped his appeal of a five-game suspension and will be begin serving the ban Monday.

Advice: Peralta was handed the suspension for intentionally throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in an 8-2 win over Tampa Bay last Tuesday. The right-hander was ejected from that contest, but after appealing the five-game ban, Peralta took the hill Sunday on normal rest and was dealt the loss in the Brewers' series finale with the Cubs. With Peralta ending his appeal, he won't be able to make his next turn through the rotation that would have fallen Friday versus the Cardinals, though he could make his next start as soon as Saturday. The Brewers are likely to either call up Robert Gasser from Triple-A Nashville to start Friday, or the team will treat Friday's contest as a bullpen day. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

  • Shifts to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Junis (shoulder/head) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Advice: Junis initially went on the IL back in early April with a right shoulder impingement but had a more recent setback when he was struck in the head by a ball during batting practice. As a result of being transferred to the 60-day IL, Junis will be moved off the 40-man roster and won't be eligible for activation until early June. Rotowire.com 42 minutes ago

  • Available in relief
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Monday that Brown will be available out of the bullpen for the series against the Padres, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: It's possible Brown will get another start eventually, but for now he will shift to the bullpen upon the return of Justin Steele (hamstring). That means Hayden Wesneski should retain his spot in the Cubs' rotation for the time being. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

  • Activated ahead of Monday's start
Steele (hamstring) was activated from the 15-day injured list by the Cubs on Monday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Steele will rejoin the Cubs' rotation Monday versus the Padres after being sidelined since late March with a strained left hamstring. The left-hander threw just 63 pitches in his lone rehab outing, so he will have his workload curtailed Monday to some degree. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

  • Recalled by Oakland
The Athletics recalled Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Advice: The move corresponds with Oakland placing right-hander Joe Boyle (back) on the 15-day IL. Harris has a 1-1 record over six starts in Triple-A this season with a 9.00 ERA, 1.95 WHIP and 21:20 K:BB over 21 innings with Las Vegas. He appeared in 14 games with the Athletics last season, finishing with a 3-6 record while posting a 7.14 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over 63 frames. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

  • Moved to IL
The Athletics placed Boyle on the 15-day IL on Monday due to a lower back strain.

Advice: Boyle struggled in his start Sunday against the Marlins, allowing four runs on one hit and three walks over one frame. The right-hander noted after the game that he tried to pitch through the lower back pain, but it "got progressively worse as I went on," per MLB.com. Boyle will be eligible to return for the start of the A's series against the Rockies on May 21. In a corresponding move, Oakland recalled left-hander Hogan Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas. • Athletics recall Hogan Harris from Las Vegas
Athletics recalled LHP Hogan Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: Harris, 27, has made six starts with the Aviators with an abhorrent 9.00 ERA and 1.95 WHIP. He takes the place of Joe Boyle after Boyle was placed on the injured list with a back injury, and while he could make starts, there’s no logical reason for adding Harris to a fantasy roster.
