      Advice: Lodolo tossed 4.2 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out three batters against Boston. The left-hander was tagged with the loss, while the four free passes were a season high, which is likely the result of the blister on his throwing hand. Following the contest, Lodolo said that "the feeling for the ball was not the same," but that it's "not impacting him a ton," so it's possible he'll be ready to go for his next start.       Sanchez (5-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing three hits and striking out four over seven scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Sanchez was highly efficient, needing just 80 pitches through seven and facing just one batter over the minimum thanks to a couple of timely double plays. The seven innings matched a season high for Sanchez, who tossed his eighth quality start and allowed zero runs over six or more innings for the second time this season. It's also the fifth time in his last six starts that Sanchez has allowed one or fewer runs, and he's posted a 1.78 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 35.1 innings during that stretch.     • Cristopher Sánchez cruises in win over D-backs
      Cristopher Sánchez shut out the Diamondbacks for seven innings, surrendering just three hits, in the Phillies’ 4-1 win Sunday.

      Advice: Sánchez walked none and struck out four in the 80-pitch outing. He gave up a 387-foot fly to Christian Walker in the first that would have been a homer in nine ballparks, but CBP wasn’t one of them. Sánchez has still allowed just one homer in 84 1/3 innings for the year. He’s 5-3 with a 2.67 ERA. Rotoworld Sunday, 11:33 am

      Pivetta took a no-decision Saturday against Cincinnati, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings.

      Advice: All three of the runs allowed by Pivetta came via the long ball -- Spencer Steer tagged him for a two-run homer in the first inning, and Elly De La Cruz launched a solo shot in the third. Pivetta didn't damage his ERA too dramatically, but he exited after 4.1 innings after racking up 96 pitches. It was the third time over his past six starts that he's failed to complete five frames, though the right-hander also has a pair of seven-inning quality starts during that span.     • Tosses first career complete game
      Ober (7-4) earned the win over Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

      Advice: Ober was extremely efficient in the impressive outing, needing just 89 pitches to polish off the first complete game of his career. The right-hander threw 70 of those pitches for strikes and racked up a career-best 23 whiffs. Ober did give up a pair of solo homers -- just the third time through 15 starts that he's allowed multiple home runs -- but those didn't hurt much with Minnesota's offense putting up 10 runs.       Nick Pivetta allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday.

      Advice: Pivetta gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He was on the hook for the loss before a late comeback by the Red Sox offense. It was another pedestrian start from Pivetta that might be becoming a trend. In his first eight starts of the year, he had 51 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings. In his last three starts, he’s had just 13 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home next weekend.

    • Bailey Ober hurls complete game with 10 strikeouts
      Bailey Ober threw all nine innings while allowing just two runs with 10 strikeouts in a 10-2 rout for the Twins over the Athletics on Saturday.

      Advice: Ober gave up a pair of solo homers, and outside of those roundtrippers the 28-year-old was brilliant. He didn’t walk anyone, and even with 10 strikeouts, the right-hander needed only 89 pitches for the complete game. The A’s offense is ever-so-beatable, but credit Ober for another fantastic pitching performance against Oakland. He’s lined up to face the Mariners in Seattle on Friday.     • Cristopher Sánchez signs four-year extension
      Phillies signed LHP Cristopher Sánchez to a four-year contract extension with club options for 2029 and 2030.

      Advice: The long-term extension, which was first reported earlier on Saturday by the New York Post’s Jon Heyman, is now official. The deal essentially buys out Sanchez’s remaining arbitration-eligible seasons with club options for his first two free agent years. No word yet on the exact financial terms. It wasn’t looking good for Philadelphia a couple years ago when Curtis Mead blossomed into one of the most promising prospects in baseball after being shipped to Tampa Bay for Sánchez. However, the pendulum has swung back the other way with Mead struggling in the majors and Sánchez turning into a reliable mid-rotation stabilizer.       Advice: Sanchez has been a key part of Philadelphia's rotation this season, posting a 2.91 ERA and 1.36 WHIP alongside a 66:24 K:BB through 77.1 innings across 14 starts. The left-hander was already under team control through the 2028 campaign, but his extension will buy out his arbitration years and reportedly includes options for 2029 and 2030 that could allow the Phillies to keep him around longer.
