    • Strikes out 10 in loss
Manaea (3-2) took the loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Manaea tossed two scoreless frames before Christian Walker hit a grand slam in the third inning and then surrendered two more runs and exited with two outs in the sixth . The 10 strikeouts were a season high for Manaea, and it was the first outing in which he has allowed more than three earned runs since April 13. Through 11 starts, Manaea has posted a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 57:24 K:BB and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next weekend in the London Series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Sean Manaea surrenders six runs in loss
Sean Manaea surrendered six runs -- five earned -- with ten strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: After two scoreless frames, Manaea loaded the bases with a base hit and two walks in the third. Christian Walker would clear them all with a grand slam to put the Diamondbacks ahead. A double and a base hit in the sixth would drive in a run and knock Manaea from the game with two outs at 105 pitches. He struck out a season-high ten batters. The 32-year-old left-hander will take a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 57/24 K/BB ratio across 57 innings into a start against the Phillies in New York next Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:26 pm

    • Sharp in Friday's no-decision
Berrios came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander pounded the zone in his fourth straight quality start and 10th in 12 trips to the mound this season, firing 69 of 101 pitches for strikes. Berrios is tracking toward a career year, and he'll take a 2.78 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Orioles. • Pablo López strong for seven in beating Astros
Pablo López pitched seven innings of one-run ball Friday as the Twins downed the Astros 6-1.

Advice: López generated 17 missed swings tonight, 12 of them with his fastball. His peripherals would suggest that he’s had pretty awful luck this season, but he was in close to peak form tonight. The one run he allowed came on an Alex Bregman 348-foot homer that Statcast said was only a homer in four ballparks. Rotoworld Friday, 11:40 pm

    • Returns to form in win
Lopez (5-5) earned the win in Friday's 6-1 victory over Houston, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Lopez appeared to be in the form that led him to a seventh place finish in the 2023 AL Cy Young race. The Minnesota right-hander generated an impressive 17 whiffs en route to his six punchouts while lowering his season ERA to 4.84 in 67 innings. The lone blemish on his evening was the 348-foot solo shot Alex Bregman hit into Houston's Crawford Boxes in the fourth inning. Lopez faces a difficult test in his next start -- he's lined up to face a formidable Yankees lineup in New York next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:36 pm

    • José Berríos allows one earned run in no-decision
José Berríos struck out five Pirates across seven innings on Friday in a no-decision. He allowed six hits and didn’t walk a batter.

Advice: Berríos leaned into his trusted slurve in this one and kept the Pirates off-balance all night. He’s allowed more than three earned runs in just one start this season while completing at least six innings 10 times in 12 starts. That’s as steady as they come. Rotoworld Friday, 8:05 pm
    • Lit up for seven runs
Allen (6-3) took the loss against the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks over 1.2 innings while striking out one.

Advice: Allen gave up one run on an infield single in the opening frame before getting obliterated in the second inning, beginning with a single from Elehuris Montero and ending with an RBI double from Elias Diaz. The lefty was then relieved by Eli Morgan with just two outs in the frame, marking his shortest outing of the season. It was actually Allen's second time this month in which he allowed seven runs in a start, while the loss also snapped a streak of three consecutive wins for the second-year pitcher. • Logan Allen hit for seven runs in loss to Rockies
Logan Allen allowed seven runs over 1 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies in Wednesday.

Advice: Allen gave up a run on a walk and a base hit in the first inning. He then could not escape the second as the Rockies brought six more runs in to score, including a two-run homer by Brendan Rodgers, chasing Allen from the game with two outs at 59 pitches. The 25-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 5.83 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and a 51/20 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings. Allen is in line for a start against the Royals in Cleveland next Wednesday. • Sharp again Wednesday
Sanchez (3-3) earned the win Wednesday, holding the Giants to four hits and one walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was another impressive effort from Sanchez, who's now held opponents to two runs or fewer in eight of his 11 starts this season. The 27-year-old left-hander lowered his ERA to 2.83 with a 1.39 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB across 60.1 innings. Sanchez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently slated for early next week against Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:12 pm
