Tylor Megill spins seven-inning gem vs. Dodgers
Tylor Megill recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Dodgers.
Advice: Megill brought some of his best stuff of the season in the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader at Citi Field, limiting Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup to just three hits and one walk over seven sharp frames. He threw seven different pitches, and also touched 98.1 mph on his four-seam fastball, in the longest scoreless outing of his career. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer with at least seven strikeouts in back-to-back starts since returning last week from the injured list and is in line for another home outing on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. The 28-year-old righty is absolutely worthy of at least a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats moving forward. It’ll be fascinating to see if he can keep this up.
