• Walks four more batters
Nastrini (0-4) took the loss Monday against Toronto, allowing three earned runs on three hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The 24-year-old struggled with his control yet again, walking four or more batters for the third consecutive start. The right-hander has been erratic all season, compiling a dismal 13:17 K:BB ratio across four starts. Nastrini was serviceable in this one, but he won't find consistent success in the majors until he cleans up his control. He now owns a 9.92 ERA and 2.20 WHIP in 16.1 innings pitched. • Morton hit hard in loss against the Nationals Monday
Charlie Morton allowed eight runs in 5 ⅔ innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Morton allowed 12 hits, walked two and struck out seven. Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, the Braves let Morton work through it and the Nationals offense didn’t let up as he had his worst start of the season. His ERA increased from 3.35 to 4.29. The 40-year-old right-hander will look to turn the page in his next start against the Athletics at home this weekend.

  • Parker picks up fourth win against Braves Monday
Mitchell Parker allowed three runs in 6 ⅓ innings and picked up the win in the Nationals’ 8-4 victory over the Braves on Monday.

Advice: The win was Parker’s fourth of the season. He allowed five hits, no walks and struck out six. Parker held the Braves scoreless in the first six innings before running into trouble in the seventh. He allowed an RBI groundout to Sean Murphy and a two-run home run to Adam Duvall before he was removed. Parker lowered his ERA to 3.45. He now has a SO:BB of 38:8 in eight starts this year. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the Guardians on the road this weekend.

  • Gasser strikes out seven in no-decision Monday
Robert Gasser threw six shutout innings and got the no-decision in the Brewers’ 5-1 victory over the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Gasser left the game in the seventh inning with two on and nobody. Reliever Bryan Hudson escaped the jam without any runs being charged to Gasser, who allowed only three hits and struck out seven. He lowered his ERA to 1.96 in four starts. Gasser has a SO:BB of 13:1 and 47 percent ground ball percentage. He’s certainly a promising rookie, though he’s probably due to give up some runs eventually as his xFIP is 3.99. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the White Sox at home this weekend.

  • Steele tosses seven shutout innings in no-decision
Justin Steele threw seven shutout innings and got a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: Steele allowed three hits, a walk and struck out eight. He looked like the pitcher we saw last year who had a 3.06 ERA and 176 strikeouts. Steele lowered his ERA to 4.45, but there should still be room for growth as his xFIP is 3.71. The 28-year-old left-hander is set to face the Reds on the road this weekend.

  • Secures seventh save
Duran picked up the save Monday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing one unearned run on two hits.

Advice: Duran entered to collect the last out with runners on second and third and a four-run lead. The Twins reliever barely survived as a hit-by-pitch, two hits and a fielding error allowed three runs to cross. However, after all that chaos, Duran promptly retired Bobby Witt via a one-pitch groundout with runners on second and third to walk away victorious. The flamethrowing righty has secured the last four Minnesota saves, posting a 2.70 ERA and 3:1 K:BB over 3.1 innings during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 3:28 pm

  • Dazzles in victory
Ryan (4-3) earned the win Monday against the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Ryan dominated the Royals, generating an impressive 15 whiffs en route to his nine punchouts. With Monday's effort, the 27-year-old righty collected his eighth quality start of the season. Overall, Ryan sports a 2.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 73:9 K:BB in 67 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to pitch against the Astros in the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 3:24 pm

  • Surrenders five runs in loss
Marsh (4-2) took the loss Monday against Minnesota, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Marsh was done in by two swings of the bat -- a Jose Miranda two-run homer in the third and a Trevor Larnach three-run blast in the fifth. The Kansas City right-hander has been productive since returning from an elbow injury May 10, firing a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB in 23.1 innings. Overall, his ERA now sits at 3.24 with a 43:14 K:BB over 50 innings. Marsh is slated to face the Padres at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 3:22 pm

  • Recalled by Houston
The Astros recalled Speas from Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday.

Advice: The move comes with Houston placing right-hander Cristian Javier on the 15-day injured list due to right forearm discomfort. After the Athletics designated Speas for assignment May 8, he was picked up by the Astros two days later. Since then, the right-hander has appeared in four games with Triple-A Sugar Land, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over three innings. Speas will provide the Astros right-handed depth out of the bullpen. Rotowire.com Today, 3:02 pm
