    • Lands 23rd save
Kimbrel picked up the save Sunday, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning against Oakland.

Advice: Kimbrel has now fired seven consecutive scoreless frames, going 7-for-7 in save chances during that stretch to bring his season total up to 23 saves. The 36-year-old fell to a 4.73 ERA after his first 16 appearances of 2024, but has been dominant since, recording a 0.43 ERA with 31 strikeouts across 21.0 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 12:48 am
    • Keeps winning
Rodriguez (11-3) picked up the win Sunday against Oakland, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk across six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Rodriguez earned his sixth victory in seven starts, catapulting him up the leaderboard in the category and into a three-way tie for the most wins in baseball. Outside of a seven-run showing against the Astros on June 21, Rodriguez has yielded three or fewer runs in six straight starts, and has struck out eight batters in three of his last four outings. The 24-year-old is scheduled for a matchup with the Yankees at Camden Yards next weekend. Rodriguez blanked the Yankees over 5.2 innings April 29. Rotowire.com Today, 12:46 am
    • Possible return Monday
Nootbaar (oblique) is nearing a return and could rejoin the Cardinals as soon as Monday in Washington.

Advice: Nootbaar has been out since May 30 while recovering from a left oblique strain, but he appears to be on the cusp of being activated from the 15-day injured list. The outfielder went 6-for-23 with two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored over seven games during his rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield before joining returning to St. Louis. • Records three hits Sunday
Urshela went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Urshela notched his first three-hit effort since June 11 as he helped lead the Tigers to victory. The veteran infielder is batting .249 for the season, which is a step back after he hit .299 for the Angels during an injury-shortened 2023 campaign. Urshela still has time to pick his average up, however, and he should stick in an everyday role as long as he's healthy, so his fantasy stock could increase down the stretch. • Picks up seventh win
Gibson (7-3) earned the win Sunday over the Nationals, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Gibson got through the first five innings allowing just two runs, but allowed the first three hitters to reach in the sixth before getting pulled. The veteran has won three of his last four starts and has had quality starts in four of his last seven outings. The 36-year-old has helped stabilize the Cardinals rotation, he has a 3.96 ERA and 1.29 WHIP through 97.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm
    • Keeps rolling with three hits
Taveras went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Taveras has opened July by going 10-for-21 (.476) during a six-game hitting streak. While he's added just three RBI in that span, it's encouraging to see him make consistent contact after batting just .147 in June. The outfielder is up to a .238/.306/.345 slash line with five home runs, 21 RBI, 33 runs scored and 10 stolen bases across 85 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:25 pm

    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out eight in beating A’s
Grayson Rodriguez fanned eight while allowing three runs over six innings as the Orioles topped the A’s 6-3 on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez moved into a tie for the major league lead in wins, but since his 3.52 ERA isn’t especially great, he wasn’t picked for the All-Star Game today. He’ll make his final start before the break Saturday against the Yankees. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
    • Craig Kimbrel earns 23rd save against A’s
Craig Kimbrel recorded his 23rd save Sunday with a scoreless ninth against the A’s.

Advice: Kimbrel has been denied a 10th career All-Star nod, at least for now. His 2.10 ERA seemed worthy, and it’s sort of a surprise that Clay Holmes was picked over him, something that would have been more justifiable a couple of weeks ago. Kimbrel could have and still might become just the 11th pitcher to go to 10 All-Star Games. Clayton Kershaw is the only active pitcher in that club. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
    • Shohei Ohtani swipes two bags in loss to Brewers
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-5 and stole a pair of bases as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Ohtani smacked a one-out single off of Dallas Keuchel in the third inning then proceeded to swipe second and third base before getting stranded there. He has now eclipsed the 20-steal plateau for the third time in his career and has already matched his total from the 2023 season. The 30-year-old superstar is slashing .314/.399/.637 with 28 homers, 65 RBI and 20 stolen bases through his first 88 games with the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:08 pm
