Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that there is a "high probability" Yamamoto (triceps) will be placed on the 15-day IL, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Roberts' comments contradict Yamamoto's, as the rookie right-hander indicated he didn't think the injury was anything serious after being pulled from Saturday's start. While Yamamoto will undergo further evaluations Sunday before an official move is made, it seems likely that the triceps tightness will require Yamamoto to miss a few starts, even if an IL move is precautionary. Pepiot (4-4) allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings in a loss to Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: Pepiot looked to be on his game with four scoreless innings to begin his outing, but things fell apart for him in the fifth. In that frame, the right-hander gave up three home runs -- all with two out -- to account for five Atlanta runs. It was the first time this season Pepiot has given up three home homers in a game, and the long balls prevented him from finishing five frames for the third time this season. Advice: Yamamoto was initially scheduled to start Thursday but had the outing pushed back for rest purposes, though after Saturday's yank it seems possible the rookie was dealing with some sort of issue. Yamamoto saw his fastball velocity dip to as low as 92.9 miles per hour before being removed, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Michael Grove will take over on the mound for the Dodgers. Spencer Arrighetti allowed seven runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: The Astros moved Arrighetti’s start up a day when Justin Verlander was scratched with an injury and that may have been the wrong move. The 24-year-old had allowed just two earned runs over 14 2/3 innings in his last three starts and had a 15.3 percent K-BB rate and 11.4 percent swinging strike rate over his last four starts. Yet, nothing worked for him on Saturday. He couldn’t find the plate with anything other than his cutter and induced just three whiffs on 20 swings for a 15 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW. Manaea (4-3) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five-plus innings in a 2-1 victory over the Padres. He struck out seven.

Advice: The veteran southpaw did serve up a homer for the fifth straight start, a solo shot in the fifth inning by Jackson Merrill, but it was the only damage Manaea surrendered. It was a strong bounce-back effort after he'd been tagged for 11 earned runs in 9.1 frames over his prior two outings, and Manaea will take a 4.11 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 67:26 K:BB through 65.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week against the Rangers.
