Vidal Bruján out of Monday’s lineup versus Padres
After going 0-for-3 in an increasingly rare start Sunday, Vidal Bruján is out of the lineup for Monday’s game.
Advice: Bruján was the Marlins’ primary second baseman before Tim Anderson got hurt, at which point he switched over to shortstop and Otto López took over at second. Unfortunately for Bruján, López got hot, and now Bruján has lost his spot with Anderson back, even though Anderson is running neck and neck with Andrew Benintendi for the title of baseball’s worst player. So, Bruján, one of the Marlins’ best players to date even if that’s not saying much, has been out of the lineup five times in the last six games.
