    • Taking rehab program to Arizona
Almonte (shoulder) has reported to the Cubs' spring training facility in Arizona and has been cleared to resume mound work, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: He'll likely throw multiple side sessions in Arizona before then facing hitters in live batting practice or simulated games prior to heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment. The reliever has been on the 15-day injured list May 11 with a right shoulder strain. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago

    • Getting second start
Poteet is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Dodgers at Yankee Stadium.

Advice: The right-hander will be making his third start of the season for the Yankees and his second straight turn through the rotation after he struck out six over five innings while allowing three runs (two earned) in a winning effort against the Giants last Saturday following his call-up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Unless the Yankees lose one of their other four current healthy starters due to an injury, Poteet's stay in the big-league rotation will likely come to an end once Gerrit Cole (elbow) makes his expected return from the 60-day injured list later this month. • Out with knee injury
Uribe was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Nashville on Friday due to a knee issue, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The specifics of the injury are unclear, and Uribe is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. The 23-year-old picked up three saves early in the season for the Brewers, but he was demoted in early May with a 6.91 ERA and 14:12 K:BB over 14 outings. Uribe was also suspended six games for his role in a benches-clearing brawling just before being demoted, though the ban was reduced to four games on appeal, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The right-hander will have to serve that suspension once back on the major-league roster, but the current focus is getting him healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 8:18 am

    • Falls apart Thursday
Harvey (2-2) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, coughing up three runs on four hits in an inning of relief.

Advice: Taking the mound with the score tied 2-2, Harvey got two quick outs before the wheels came off, with the rally highlighted by Marcell Ozuna's two-run homer on a slider that caught too much of the plate. Harvey had been scored upon only once in his prior 10 appearances, and the long ball was just the second he's served up this season in 31.1 innings. The right-hander has been generally outstanding as the Nationals' top setup man, posting a 2.87 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB, and his 18 holds already has him one away from his career high. • Lands save
Stanek threw a perfect ninth inning Thursday against Oakland to pick up the save.

Advice: Stanek got the call in the ninth with closer Andres Munoz (back) unavailable and corralled his fourth save of the season. While Munoz is expected to return this weekend, Stanek should be the Mariners' go-to closing option in the meantime. The right-hander owns a 3.52 ERA across 23.0 innings, adding three wins and 10 holds in 26 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:41 am
    • Collects second win
Bummer (2-2) picked up the win Thursday over the Nationals, striking out one in a perfect seventh inning.

Advice: The southpaw set down the bottom of Washington's order on 13 pitches (eight strikes), and Atlanta took their first lead of the game in the top of the eighth. Bummer isn't seeing the high-leverage work he grew accustomed to with the White Sox, and he's still looking for his first hold of the season. After a bumpy start to the campaign, he's been tagged for earned runs in only one of 10 appearances since the beginning of May, posting a 1.64 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB through 11 innings over that stretch. • Matz throws two innings in rehab game
Cardinals sent LHP Steven Matz on rehab assignment to Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Matz threw two scoreless innings and had two strikeouts in his first rehab start on Thursday. The 33-year-old left-hander has been on the injured list since mid-May with a back injury. Rotoworld Today, 5:46 am

    • Big improvement over Wednesday
Beeks picked up five outs for the Rockies in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals, striking out two while allowing no hits or walks between the eighth and ninth innings.

Advice: This was a major improvement on Beeks' outing Wednesday, in which he allowed five earned runs and blew the save in a loss to the Reds. The bad news, however, is that the Rockies brought in Tyler Kinley to get the final out and record the save Thursday. Beeks does lead the Rockies with six saves, but the team's closing situation is as muddled as it has been at any point this season. Five different players have saves for a team that's won only 22 games all year. Rotowire.com Today, 12:35 am

    • Stuck with loss Thursday
Gaddis (3-2) took the loss Thursday versus the Royals, allowing one run on two hits over one inning.

Advice: Gaddis gave up the go-ahead run on a Kyle Isbel single in the eighth inning. This ended Gaddis' scoreless streak at 13.1 innings and gave him his first loss since April 30. The right-hander has been excellent in a setup role this year with a 1.84 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB to go with 13 holds over 29.1 innings. As long as this setback doesn't become a slump, he should continue to help the Guardians hold leads in the late innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:45 pm
