• Two steals in win
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in a 10-5 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: McCarthy singled, stole two bases then scored on a Christian Walker grand slam in the third inning and later singled and scored in the eighth. McCarthy was a late addition to the lineup when Lourdes Gurriel (undisclosed) was scratched and made the most of a rare opportunity to face a left-handed starter despite now hitting 11-for-25 against lefties on the season. Since May 21, McCarthy has started only six of a possible 10 games but tallied four steals during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:25 pm
  • Two hits, two RBI in win
Langford went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-0 win against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Langford singled and scored a run in the fourth inning then added a two-run base hit in the ninth. In four games since returning from the injured list with a hamstring strain, Langford has posted two multi-hit efforts and totaled four RBI. Langford's current slash line of .229/.292/.290 has obviously been disappointing, but he appears healthy and has started each game since his return from the injured list on May 28. • Throws 6.1 shutout innings in win
Lorenzen (3-3) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 6.1 shutout innings.

Advice: After allowing the first two hitters he faced to reach base, Lorenzen settled in and held the Marlins in check for his fourth straight quality start. Lorenzen has gone at least six innings in eight of his nine starts this season and now owns a 2.96 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB through 54.2 innings. Lorenzen offers eligibility at starting pitcher and relief pitcher and will look to stay hot in a home matchup against the Giants next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:48 pm

  • White Sox expected to promote Oscar Colas Sunday
Francys Romero reports that the White Sox plan to recall Oscar Colas from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Advice: With Luis Robert Jr. nearing a return, the timing doesn’t seem optimal for the 25-year-old outfielder to get a real shot at playing time with the White Sox, so we’ll see how this one goes. Colas has hit .244/.358/.406 with five homers, 21 RBI and six stolen bases in 193 plate appearances at Triple-A Charlotte this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:43 pm
  • Joining big-league roster
Colas was called up to the White Sox on Saturday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Colas' call-up comes after Andrew Benintendi (Achilles) and Andrew Vaughn (finger) sustained in-game injuries Saturday, making it likely that at least one of the two will require a stint on the IL. Colas owned a .571 OPS in 263 plate appearances with Chicago last season and is slashing .244/.358/.406 with five home runs at Triple-A Charlotte this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:23 pm
  • Gavin Sheets swats two-run homer in loss to Brewers
Gavin Sheets swatted a two-run homer in a loss Saturday to the Brewers in extra innings.

Advice: Sheets gave the White Sox a 3-1 lead with a two-run homer off Robert Gasser. The 28-year-old has gone deep five times with 21 RBI along with a .765 OPS in 169 at-bats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:19 pm

  • Robbie Grossman drives in pair with two hits
Robbie Grossman went 2-for-4 with two RBI in a victory over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Grossman also drew a walk. The left-handed hitter had been really struggling since coming over to the Rangers with just two hits since May 8, but he was able to match that total while bringing home a couple of runners Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:11 pm
  • Wyatt Langford drives in pair against Marlins
Wyatt Langford drove in two runs in a victory over the Marlins for the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Langford’s RBI came in garbage time, as he drove in a pair of runs to make it 7-0 in the ninth inning. Still counts. He also struck out three times, but since returning from the injured list Tuesday, Langford has picked up a pair of multi-hit games while driving in three runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:09 pm
  • Michael Lorenzen blanks Marlins over 6 1/3 in win
Michael Lorenzen didn’t give up a run while firing 6 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts to help the Rangers to a 7-0 rout of the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lorenzen exited his last start with a trainer, but the injury didn’t appear to affect him whatsoever. The right-hander scattered five hits and issued just two walks in an impressive outing even when considering the lackluster opponent. Lorenzen has been able to work at least six innings in seven of his eight starts, and he’s posted a very strong 2.96 ERA in the process. That’ll play. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:06 pm
