    Hader earned a save against the Astros on Thursday, striking out two batters in one perfect inning.

    Advice: Hader threw 12 of 14 pitches for strikes, including eight whiffs. The save was his second in as many days, marking the second time this season he's accomplished that feat.   • Falls apart in fifth frame
    Arrighetti allowed three runs on five hits and and four walks while striking out two batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Thursday.

    Advice: Arrighetti navigated through four scoreless innings despite allowing at least one baserunner in each of those frames. The rookie's tightrope act came to an end in the fifth, however, as the White Sox put four runners on base (on three hits and a walk) before he could get his second out. Arrighetti has now completed fewer than five frames in three of his past four starts, and walks have been a major issue for him, as he's issued 12 free passes over 14.1 innings during that span.   • Blows save, earns win
    Fairbanks (2-3) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on two hits over two innings against the Twins. He struck out one.

    Advice: Fairbanks was not needed to start the ninth due to the Rays holding a four-run lead, but a leadoff homer followed by the next two runners reaching base necessitated the call to Fairbanks. After inducing a couple of quick outs, Jose Miranda tagged him for a two-out game-tying homer that sent the game to extras. Once the Rays regained the lead in the 10th, Fairbanks stayed on to close out his own victory. The blown save was the second of the season for Fairbanks, who ran the gamut during the series with the Twins, suffering the loss on Tuesday followed by the blown save and subsequent win on Thursday.   • Ryan Helsley secures MLB-leading 25th save
    Ryan Helsley fired a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Giants to record his major league-leading 25th save of the season.

    Advice: Helsley was summoned to protect a narrow one-run lead at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama and made things interesting by issuing a leadoff walk to Trenton Brooks and surrendering a two-out single to Patrick Bailey, which put the potential tying run in scoring position. He managed to wriggle out of the jam by striking out Matt Chapman to extinguish the threat. The hard-throwing 29-year-old righty has converted 25 of 26 save chances this season to go along with a sparkling 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 38/13 K/BB ratio across 33 innings (33 appearances).   • Andre Pallante allows five runs, still gets win
    Andre Pallante was charged with five runs over 5 1/3 innings on Thursday in a win over the Giants.

    Advice: Pallante drew the starting assignment for Thursday’s contest at historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama and gave the Cardinals some much-needed length in this outing, working into the sixth inning. He struck out five and also issued three walks. Of the seven hits he allowed, the costliest was a three-run shot to Heliot Ramos in the third inning, which accounted for most of the damage against him.     Woods Richardson did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in six innings against the Rays. He struck out six.

    Advice: Woods Richardson allowed single runs in the second and third, keeping the Rays at bay as he completed six innings for his fourth quality start of the season. It was also the ninth time in 12 starts that Woods Richardson left with a no-decision. It was the third time in four outings that Woods Richardson struck out six batters, including a couple of big strikeouts to end the fourth and fifth innings, each coming with runners in scoring position to keep the game tied. Woods Richardson has been solid throughout his first full season in the majors, tallying a 3.26 ERA and 1.14 WHIP through 12 starts with 52 strikeouts over 60.2 innings.     Advice: Ohtani led off the game with a home run off Rockies starter Ty Blach. The home run was his 21st of the year, which leads the National League. He’s hitting .318 with 59 runs, 53 RBI and 16 steals to boot.

    Ty Blach allowed five runs in four innings and took the loss against the Dodgers on Thursday.



    Advice: Blach gave up 10 hits, walked one and struck out two. He continues to give up hits in bunches as he’s now allowed 35 hits over his last four starts. Blach’s ERA is up to 5.13 on the season and he remains off the fantasy radar. The 33-year-old left-hander is set to face the Astros on the road next week.
