• Jake Fraley (illness) held out of lineup again
Jake Fraley (illness) was held out of the Reds’ starting lineup for the sixth consecutive game on Friday.

Advice: That must be some serious illness that Fraley has been dealing with. It’s still somewhat encouraging that the Reds haven’t placed him on the injured list, so there must be hope that he’s only a day or two away from returning. Stuart Fairchild will start in his place in center field again on Friday and will bat ninth for the Reds against Nathan Eovaldi and the Rangers. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Tommy Pham batting second in White Sox’ debut
Tommy Pham will start in center field and bat second in his White Sox’ debut against the Rays on Friday night.

Advice: The 36-year-old outfielder played in four games during his brief stay at Triple- Charlotte, going 5-for-17 with a double. The White Sox are hopeful that he’ll be able to inject some life into an offense that has been among the league’s worst through the first month of the season. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

  • Nick Senzel (illness) remains out of lineup Friday
Nick Senzel (illness) remained out of the Nationals’ starting lineup for Friday’s contest against the Marlins.

Advice: Senzel was scratched from Thursday’s lineup because he was feeling a bit under the weather, and he isn’t quite ready to give it a go on Friday either. The good news, is that it’s not another injury that’s keeping him sidelined. He should be considered day-to-day. Trey Lipscomb will start in his place at the hot corner and bat eighth against Anthony Maldonado and the Marlins on Friday night. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

  • Wilyer Abreu absent from Red Sox’ lineup on Friday
Wilyer Abreu is absent from the Red Sox’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: It looks to be just a regular day of rest with tough left-hander Shota Imanaga taking the hill for the Cubs. Abreu did remain in the lineup (and in the cleanup spot in the order) the last time that the Red Sox faced a southpaw, so hopefully this is just a regular maintenance type of thing and not a sign of things to come. Rob Refsnyder will start in his place in left field and will bat third against the Cubs on Friday night at Fenway Park. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago

  • Mark Canha collects two hits in loss to Royals
Mark Canha went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles as the Tigers were shut out by the Royals on Friday afternoon at Comerica Park.

Advice: As a team, the Tigers tallied just five total hits in the ballgame, with Canha the only player to have more than one. The 35-year-old outfielder is actually off to a nice start in his first season with the Tigers, slashing .271/.398/.518 with five homers, 14 RBI and a stolen base through his first 25 games. Not bad for a guy that was going outside the top-350 picks overall in fantasy drafts this spring. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

  • Out again Friday
Senzel (illness) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the Marlins.

Advice: Senzel was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup due to illness and will now miss a second straight start. The Nationals will use Trey Lipscomb as a fill-in at third base. Rotowire.com Today, 12:47 pm

  • On bench versus lefty
Kelenic is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Lefty Logan Allen is pitching for Cleveland, so Kelenic will unsurprisingly start Friday's contest on the bench. Adam Duvall will receive another look in left field while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm

  • Optioned to Triple-A
The White Sox Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times Fletcher to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Advice: Fletcher has slashed just .203/.277/.271 with a 20:4 K:BB over 66 plate appearances with the White Sox. He had begun seeing his playing time dip lately and now the club has elected to give the 26-year-old a reset back in the minors. Rotowire.com Today, 12:10 pm
