    • Belts homer in loss
Busch went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Giants in Monday's loss.

Advice: Busch gave Chicago its first lead with a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball over his past 17 contests and just his second across his past 32 games. Busch began the campaign with six homers through 16 contests, so the fact that he's still yet to reach double digits in that category emphasizes the extent to which he's slowed down. Still, the first baseman has been hitting well lately, batting .370 over his past 27 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm

    • Begins rehab assignment
Jung (wrist) started at third base and went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Jung kicked off a rehab assignment for the Express and played five innings in the field. Texas manager Bruce Bochy previously targeted Jung for 30 at-bats before returning to the major leagues, but the manager acknowledged Sunday to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that it's a fluid situation. "We'll kind of monitor how things are going with him, the at-bats, how his body is bouncing back," Bochy said. "But we don't have a specific number." Jung fractured his wrist on April 1 and underwent surgery the following day, leading to his stay on the 60-day injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:10 am

    • Ready for rehab stint
Jung (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung, who suffered a fractured right wrist early in the season, resumed swinging the bat in late May and progressed to live batting practice earlier this week. He's now ready for game action, which puts a return to the Rangers before the end of the month very much on the table. Expect Jung to slot back in at third base immediately upon activation after his All-Star campaign in 2023. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:37 am

    • Jung (wrist) in lineup for Triple-A Round Rock
Josh Jung (wrist) is in the lineup for a rehab appearance for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Jung will be in the lineup for the first time for Round Rock as he works his way back from the fractured wrist that has sidelined him since early April. The infielder will likely need at least a few games in the PCL before he’s ready to return, but this is obviously most welcome news for both Texas and fantasy managers who have patiently waited for him to return. • Sitting out Saturday
Busch is absent from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Right-hander Andre Pallante is starting for the Cardinals and has reverse splits, so Busch will begin this one on the bench. Cody Bellinger is handling first base and Pete Crow-Armstrong will patrol center field. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:33 am

    • Takes live BP
Jung (wrist) took live batting practice Thursday, Kenndi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The third baseman saw pitches from Tyler Mahle (elbow) as they both continue their rehabs. The next step for Jung is a trip to Triple-A Round Rock to continue live BP before he officially begins a rehab assignment, and he remains on track to return before the end of the month. • Josh Jung (wrist) heads out on rehab assignment
Josh Jung (wrist) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Advice: Jung spent the morning with the Rangers, where he took live batting practice off of rehabbing right-hander Tyler Mahle, before packing up and heading off to his rehab assignment. Expect the 26-year-old slugger to remain there through the weekend before potentially rejoining the Rangers next week. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:06 pm

    • Josh Jung (wrist) getting close to rehab games
Josh Jung (wrist) will take at-bats in a live batting practice session on Wednesday.

Advice: The hope is that Jung will be ready to get into minor league rehab contests at some point in the near future after progressing to taking batting practice last weekend. The 26-year-old slugger has been brought along slowly since early-April surgery on his right wrist, but should return before the end of the month. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:27 pm

    • Josh Jung (wrist) resumes taking batting practice
Josh Jung (wrist) has progressed to taking batting practice.

Advice: Jung was cleared to resume swinging a bat back in late May, so it’s a positive sign he’s taking regular batting practice again. The 26-year-old has been brought along slowly in his rehabilitation from early-April surgery on his right wrist. The hope is that he’ll be ready to return at some point in late June or early July. There is no official timetable at this juncture, but he should be getting close to starting a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Jun 8, 10:55 am
