      Advice: The White Sox releasing Pillar after a 4-for-25 start, only to watch him hit .431/.459/.759 with five homers in his first 17 games for the Angels, is undeniably the funniest thing to happen in 2024. There’s no reason to expect Pillar to keep this up — and we still wouldn’t recommend him in mixed leagues — but it’d be hilarious if he somehow pulled off a career year at age 35.       Fry went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Fry has a pair of three-hits games over his last nine contests, going 13-for-26 (.500) with four homers, three steals and 11 RBI in that span. The utility man is on another level lately, though he's been strong throughout the campaign with a .357/.492/.622 slash line, seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and four steals over 128 plate appearances. He's started three straight games in left field, but that avenue into the lineup will close when Steven Kwan (hamstring) returns from the injured list.       Josh Naylor hit two homers to drive in five runs and lead the Guardians to a 13-7 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

      Advice: We’ve liked Naylor as a sleeper pick to lead the AL in RBI, but José Ramírez, batting one spot ahead of him, just isn’t cooperating thus far; Ramírez leads the majors with 56, while Naylor is third in the AL with 40. We’re still not sure whether Naylor has really gotten hot yet. On the one hand, his 15 homers in 52 games are just two fewer than he hit in 121 games last season.       David Fry went 3-for-3 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rockies.

      Advice: Fry wasn’t expected to make the Guardians out of spring training and then wasn’t slated to play against righties once he did make the team, but all he’s done so far is hit .357/.492/.622 with seven homers and four steals in 128 plate appearances.       Naylor went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, five RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Naylor entered Tuesday 0-for-14 over his last three games, and he hadn't logged a multi-hit effort since May 9. Consider the slump busted, as the first baseman tagged starter Ryan Feltner for a two-run blast in the fifth inning before taking reliever Matt Carasiti deep with a three-run shot in the eighth. Naylor is already up to 15 homers through 52 contests this year, just five long balls shy of matching his career high from 2022.       Advice: Seager's hitting streak is up to 11 games, during which he's gone 14-for-40 (.350). He's also homered seven times over his last seven contests, with Tuesday's blast being enough to secure the win for the Rangers. The shortstop is up to 12 long balls, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored and a .259/.351/.461 slash line through 50 games, though he's been particularly impressive with his recent power surge after a slow start to the campaign.       Eovaldi allowed two runs on five hits and struck out two without walking a batter over three innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

      Advice: Eovaldi wasn't sent on a rehab assignment and was reportedly on a pitch count for his return from a groin strain. The right-hander ended up throwing 37 pitches (27 strikes) in his first start since May 2. Eovaldi is at a 2.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 46:19 K:BB through 44.1 innings over eight starts this season. Given his limited workload Tuesday, Eovaldi may need to be stretched out over the next couple of weeks. That may make it tough for him to qualify for the win in his next projected start. It's possible Eovaldi pitches again this weekend versus Miami, as Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports Andrew Heaney -- who threw 2.1 innings in relief Tuesday -- could be used as a long reliever while the Rangers' schedule doesn't require them to have five starters.
