    • Starting rehab assignment Wednesday
Kershaw (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Kershaw came out well from a series of recent sim games and is now set to take the next step toward a return from offseason shoulder surgery. The left-hander has been said to be ahead of progress in his recovery, though he'll almost certainly need several rehab outings before he's ready to make his season debut for the big club. Kershaw remains in line to return around the All-Star break. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

    • Tosses two scoreless frames
Joyce allowed a hit and a walk over two shutout innings as the opener Sunday. He struck out three while the Angels lost to San Francisco.

Advice: Joyce threw 22 of 42 pitches for strikes and also hit a batter during his appearance but managed to keep the Giants off the board. The Angels bullpen would go on to allow 13 runs in six innings in the ugly loss. Joyce lowered his ERA to 7.94 with a 5:4 K:BB through 5.2 frames since being promoted from Double-A Rocket City earlier this month. He's thrown 3.2 scoreless innings over his last two outings. • Earns league-leading 24th save
Helsley allowed two walks during a scoreless ninth to pick up the save Sunday against the Cubs. He struck out one.

Advice: Helsley tossed just 11 of 23 pitches for strikes and started behind in the count to four of five batters faced but still managed to finish off the game for the Cardinals when a drive to the gap by pinch-hitter Patrick Wisdom with two on was snagged by Brendan Donovan to preserve the win. It was another shaky outing for Helsley who has struggled recently with his command, walking four over his last two appearances. Despite the recent trouble, he maintains an ERA of 2.53 and has converted on each of his last 24 save opportunities, last blowing a save on March 30 during his first appearance of the season. • Sidelined with shoulder issue
Triple-A Norfolk placed Heasley on its 7-day injured list Sunday with right shoulder inflammation, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After a brief stint with the Orioles, Heasley returned to Norfolk on May 24 and posted a 6.75 ERA and 2.16 WHIP over three outings at Triple-A before landing on the IL. Heasley will be shut down for at least the next week while he waits for the inflammation in his shoulder to subside. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago

    • Garners no run support
Taillon (3-3) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings against the Cardinals. He struck out three.

Advice: Taillon scattered baserunners throughout, only completing a single 1-2-3 inning, but was able to limit the damage with the only runs coming on a second-inning two-run homer by Pedro Pages. However, Taillon was given no run support and left the game after six still facing that same two-run deficit. It was the second-consecutive quality start for Taillon who has allowed just two runs in 12 innings over those two starts after having allowed 14 runs over 21.1 innings in his previous four. He'll look to keep things rolling the next time he toe's the rubber, likely to take place next weekend when the Mets roll into the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. • Muncy (oblique) progressing slower than expected
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Max Muncy (oblique) is progressing even slower than expected in his recovery.

Advice: Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat for at least the next week while he continues to fight a nagging oblique strain. There’s still no clear timetable for his potential return and it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be anytime soon. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Collects four more hits
Kwan went 4-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's loss to Toronto.

Advice: Kwan has been unstoppable since returning from a hamstring injury on May 31, hitting safely in all 11 games while batting a torrid .535 with one home run, six RBI and 11 runs scored. The 26-year-old's hot streak has propelled his average to a league-leading .398, more than 70 points higher than second place. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago

    • Primed for everyday shortstop role
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Sunday's 3-0 win over the Royals that Rojas is expected to see the majority of the starts at shortstop while Mookie Betts is out with a fractured left hand, ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Betts suffered the injury in the seventh inning of Sunday's game, when he was hit by a 97.9 mile-per-hour fastball. Fortunately for Betts, the injury is to his non-dominant hand and Roberts said that surgery won't be necessary, but the seven-time All-Star is still likely headed for a multi-week absence. With 760 career MLB starts at shortstop under his belt, Rojas gives the Dodgers a battle-tested option at the position who's a dependable defender, but the 35-year-old doesn't profile as a high-end fantasy contributor. He's been a solid performer when called upon this season -- usually as a fill-in starter against left-handed pitching -- hitting .278 with three home runs and three stolen bases across 116 plate appearances. • Christian Walker goes deep as Diamondbacks win big
Christian Walker went 3-for-5 with a homer, double and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Diamondbacks in a 12-5 rout over the White Sox.

Advice: Walker tagged rookie right-hander Drew Thorpe for a mammoth 432-foot (110.4 mph EV) solo shot in the opening inning that increased the Diamondbacks’ lead to 3-0. He then added a two-run double in the fourth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame. With his three-hit attack, the 33-year-old slugger is now hitting .257/.337/.483 with 16 homers and 49 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago
