Need a consensus on one of the following two options: (1) have a fully automated draft (as in the past) or (2) have a live draft that allows the team managers to use the real time Yahoo online draft engine. A live draft does not require you to be there to draft. If a manager is not present (by choice or conflict), their draft selections would default to those pre-draft choices set up by that manager or the default list on the Yahoo fantasy baseball site (the same one used in the automated drafts). A typical online draft (with everyone participating or just a few exceptions), will generally take a little over an hour. You can try it out by going to the "Draft" pull down tab on the league site and choosing "Mock Drafts". This is exactly how our draft would be conducted. Also, keep this in mind, due to some managers inability to access the Yahoo sports site during normal work week business hours, the live draft would need to be on a week night or during the weekend. On March 10th at midnight, I'll bow to the majority of the respondents' choice. My vote will only be used to break any ties. An automated draft would take place on or after March 17th. A live draft would take place at some time near that same date. Sorry for being long winded but would rather kill you with too much information than drop an unexpected surprise on you. So what do you think?
