  • Jasson Domínguez homers again Friday at AA
    Yankees OF prospect Jasson Domínguez (elbow) went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and also stole a base on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Double-A Somerset.

    Advice: Domínguez has been sizzling-hot at the plate on his rehab assignment with a stratospheric .977 OPS in 12 games between Low-A Tampa and Double-A Somerset. He’s homered three times in his last five contests. It’s unclear how the Yankees plan to proceed once the 21-year-old center fielder is ready to return to New York, but it’s looking like he’s going to force his way into their immediate plans if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball in the minors.   • Michael Conforto singles Friday in rehab contest
    Michael Conforto (hamstring) went 1-for-3 on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento.

    Advice: Conforto kicked off his rehab assignment by getting in a couple frames in left field as he works his way back from a right hamstring strain. The 31-year-old veteran was off to a strong start at the dish, with encouraging Statcast batted ball metrics to back it up, which should make him a relevant option for fantasy managers once he returns.   • James Outman tallies four hits, homers Friday at AAA
    James Outman went 4-for-6 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Friday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

    Advice: Outman was demoted to the minors a couple weeks ago after posting a disastrous .516 OPS with three homers and two steals in 36 games for Los Angeles, but he appears to be finding his groove at the dish again. The 27-year-old’s four-hit performance gives him a 1.245 OPS with three homers and four steals in just 10 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City. There isn’t exactly a path to at-bats with the Dodgers at the moment, but he figures to get another shot at some point later this season. Rotoworld Today, 5:13 am
  • Josh Lowe (oblique) posts two hits Friday at AAA
    Josh Lowe (oblique) went 2-for-4 with a run scored on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

    Advice: There’s some buzz that Lowe will be ready to return to Tampa Bay early next week, but he’s going to get in at least a couple additional rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Durham. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart has been out since late May recovering from a mild right oblique strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:06 am
  • Goes deep in loss
    Pederson went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Mets.

    Advice: Pederson knocked an RBI single during Arizona's three-run first inning before hammering a three-run shot in the ninth. It was his seventh home run of the year and fifth in his last 20 games. During that stretch, he's slashing .317/.379/.617 with 15 RBI and 24 punchouts. Pederson currently owns an impressive .952 OPS with 17 extra-base hits through 156 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 5:01 am
  • Luis Robert Jr. goes 0-for-5 on Friday at Triple-A
    Luis Robert Jr. (hip) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

    Advice: Robert has gone 1-for-12 with a home run in three games for Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment. There’s optimism that he’ll be ready to return early next week, but he’s going to get a couple more minor-league games under his belt this weekend to continue knocking off the rust.   • Triples, drives in four
    Marte went 2-for-4 with a triple, four RBI, a run scored and a walk in Friday's win over the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Marte ripped a bases-clearing triple in the first inning and followed it up with an RBI single in the fourth. After a 3-for-19 slump over nine games, he closed out May with three straight multi-hit performances. Marte boosted his slash line to .271/.321/.407 with nine steals, 23 RBI and 28 runs scored through 216 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:58 am
  • Chas McCormick strikes out three times
    Chas McCormick fanned all three times he was up Friday versus the Twins.

    Advice: The Astros have decided that José Abreu’s pre-2023 track record matters more than McCormick’s impressive 2023 output and have thus started McCormick just twice in the last six games. We think that’s probably the wrong call, but at the same time, McCormick has not, in any way, resembled the threat he was last year. We still think the Astros should give him a few weeks of regular playing time to see if he can bounce back, but we’re not especially optimistic that he would take advantage of said opportunity.   • Hits grand slam off bench
    Adell hit a grand slam as a pinch hitter in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

    Advice: Adell erased a four-run deficit when he checked into the game in the seventh inning, replacing Matt Thaiss. The homer also ended a 1-for-31 dry spell for Adell, who went 11-for-43 (.256) prior to that slump. The outfielder is already at 11 homers on the year while adding 27 RBI, eight stolen bases, 24 runs scored, four doubles and a triple over 162 plate appearances.
