  • Sent to Triple-A
The Mets optioned Young to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: With Edwin Diaz (shoulder) slated to come off the injured list Thursday, Young will be pushed back to Triple-A in order to free up a roster spot. He's found quite a bit of success in the majors this season, allowing just one run in nine innings while striking out 12 batters and walking four. If he's able to sustain his strong performance in Triple-A, the 30-year-old southpaw would likely be one of the first choices to return to New York if the Mets find themselves in need of a fresh bullpen arm. • Earns 14th save
Diaz earned a save against Cleveland on Wednesday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: Entering with a 4-2 lead in the ninth inning, Diaz needed just 13 pitches to retire the Guardians in order. Since May 21, Diaz is seven-for-seven in save chances with only two runs allowed in 10 appearances. On the season, Diaz is 14-for-16 in save chances with a 5.33 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 27:18 K:BB in 25.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:06 pm
  • Earns first win
Miller (1-0) tossed 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts to earn the win in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Rays.

Advice: Miller came over to Chicago via a trade from Seattle on May 13, and while he's been effective across nine appearances with the Cubs, this was his first win with his new team. The righty now has a 2.01 ERA for the season, which includes a stellar 0.84 ERA over 10.2 innings with Chicago. Miller has limited fantasy upside as a middle reliever, though he's been excellent in his role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:00 pm
  • Dan Altavilla records just one out in loss to Yankees
Dan Altavilla recorded just one out, giving up five runs in a loss against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: The opener strategy didn’t quite work out for the Royals. Altavilla was set to pitch the first inning against the Yankees, but recorded just one out. He loaded the bases before Alex Verdugo knocked two runs in on a base hit. Altavilla walked another batter to load them up again and he was pulled for Daniel Lynch, who allowed all three inherited runners to score. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:59 pm
  • Labors in no-decision
Assad did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Assad opened with two scoreless frames then allowed a run in the third on a double by Isaac Paredes and another on a solo home run by Jose Siri in the fourth. With two runners on and two outs in the fifth, Assad was pulled at 90 pitches with a 2-1 deficit. Since his last win on May 15, Assad has failed to reach six innings or record a win in five straight outings and has seen his ERA climb from 1.49 to 2.81. He tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:44 pm
  • Holds on for 10th save
Neris earned a save against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with no strikeouts.

Advice: Entering with a 4-2 lead in the ninth inning, Neris surrendered a solo home run to Jose Caballero then allowed a single and a walk before retiring Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe to escape with the save. This wasn't the most encouraging outing after Neris yielded four runs in a blown save Tuesday night, but manager Craig Counsell showed his faith in Neris as the team's closer by relying on him again Wednesday. On the season, Neris is 10-for-13 in save chances with a 4.21 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 24:19 K:BB across 25.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 pm
  • Struggles in third rehab start
Silseth (elbow) struck out three and gave up six earned runs on four hits and five walks over 2.2 innings Tuesday in his rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Silseth struck out 10 over seven shutout innings between his first two rehab outings in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, but he struggled with both his control and command Tuesday while shifting his rehab to a higher-level affiliate. The Angels had hoped that he would build up to about five innings in Tuesday's rehab outing, but he fell well short of that benchmark, even though he pushed up his pitch count to 71 (35 strikes) after tossing 56 pitches in his prior outing in the ACL. Though Silseth could be a candidate to return from the 60-day injured list to rejoin the big-league rotation as soon as Sunday in San Francisco, the Angels may prefer to have him make one more start in the minors to iron out his control. • Kyle Finnegan closes out Tigers on Wednesday night
Kyle Finnegan served up a solo homer to Riley Greene in the ninth inning on Wednesday night, but still managed to secure his 19th save of the season.

Advice: The 32-year-old closer came on with a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He gave one run back on a one-out solo blast to Greene, but battled back to strike out Wenceel Perez and then got Mark Canha on a ground ball to second base to end it. Finnegan has performed as one of the top closers in the league this season — posting a 1.91 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a 30/10 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
  • Craig Kimbrel earns 16th save against Braves
Craig Kimbrel protected a two-run lead with a perfect ninth for a save Wednesday against the Braves.

Advice: Kimbrel has allowed just a lone unearned run over his last 12 appearances. He’s 16-for-19 saving games, and his ERA stands at 2.59. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm
