      Ronald Acuña Jr. will undergo surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.

      Advice: The procedure will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who performed Acuña’s other ACL surgery on his right knee back in 2021. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar There won’t be an official timetable for his return until he undergoes surgery next week as ElAttrache will determine at that time whether he suffered any additional structural damage to his knee, which would keep him sidelined much longer. If it winds up being a straightforward ACL surgery, there’s enough reason for fantasy managers to optimistically project Acuña to be ready for the outset of the 2025 campaign. The long ball was Kim's seventh through 231 plate appearances this season, putting him on pace to surpass last year's career-best total of 17 homers.       Pete Alonso is day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right hand.

      Advice: Hey, that’s one piece of good news for the Mets. Alonso underwent a battery of additional testing and imaging, including a CT scan, X-rays and an MRI, which didn’t reveal any structural damage. The 29-year-old impending free agent may miss a couple of games as he deals with soreness, and some likely inflammation, but it appears he avoided any major injury here and should be back in New York’s lineup relatively soon.       Alonso is day-to-day after a CT scan confirmed he didn't suffer a fracture when he was hit by a pitch in the right hand during Wednesday's 10-3 loss to the Dodgers, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.

      Advice: X-rays and now a CT scan have both come back negative, as Alonso has managed to avoid a serious injury and is dealing with a bone bruise to his right hand.       George Springer went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in the Blue Jays’ 3-1 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

      Advice: Springer has fallen to the lower half of the lineup with Davis Schneider taking over leadoff duties in Toronto, but still managed to score six times with five hits in three games against the White Sox.       Advice: The stolen base was notable because it's the first of the season for Bellinger, though he did miss some time with a fractured ribcage, which could have cut into his running. He had a career-high 20 steals last year as he reached the 20-20 plateau for the first time in seven MLB campaigns. Bellinger hasn't been quite as effective so far in 2024, though he's batting a solid .262 with a .774 OPS, and the 28-year-old has the talent to start racking up the counting stats in a hurry.       Ha-Seong Kim belted a solo homer on Wednesday in the Padres’ blowout loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: There weren’t a whole lot of positives for San Diego in this one as Kim’s third-inning shot off Marlins starter Braxton Garrett represented their lone tally in a one-sided affair.       Advice: Lindor showed zero ill effects, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances less than 24 hours after suffering a left index finger contusion during Tuesday’s doubleheader.
