    • Shaky results in no-decision
Montgomery allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Montgomery surrendered a third-inning home run to Spencer Torkelson, and the Tigers got to him for additional runs in the fifth and sixth. He came back out to begin the seventh and allowed a leadoff walk before exiting the game for good, and that runner eventually came around to score. Montgomery managed to reach six innings for the fourth time in six starts but has not struck out more than four batters in any of those four outings. Though a small sample size, Montgomery's strikeout rate this year is on pace to be the lowest of his career, and he's also walked multiple batters in four straight starts. The 31-year-old owns a 4.98 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 34.1 innings. He lines up for a home meeting with the Marlins his next time on the mound. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:53 am
    • Impresses in no-decision
Greene did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Greene's one major mistake in Sunday's outing was surrendering a two-run homer to Andy Pages in the fourth. That was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He racked up over six strikeouts for the first time since April 16 and generated 22 whiffs, with a good majority of those coming from his fastball that was averaging 98.8 MPH on the afternoon. He now owns a 2.03 ERA over his last five starts, and for the year owns a 3.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB in 58.2 innings. He currently lines up for a rematch with the Dodgers at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:42 am

    • Jordan Montgomery allows four runs in no-decision
Jordan Montgomery pitched decently in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, giving up four runs on five hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: The left-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. He served up a solo homer to Spencer Torkelson in the third inning, then kept the Tigers at bat until an RBI single by Javier Baez in the fifth. They tacked on another run in the sixth inning, then Montgomery issued a leadoff walk in the seventh before exiting, and that run came around to score as well. He got eight whiffs on 92 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his 4.98 ERA and 1.37 WHIP when he toes the slab against the Marlins on Saturday. • Hunter Greene looks good against LAD
Hunter Greene allowed two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Greene struck out eight and walked just two on the day. He also posted a 35 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW as the four-seam fastball carved up the Dodgers on Sunday. Greene also allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a home run to Andy Pages. All of that pre-season talk of Greene adding another pitch was much ado about nothing, as Greene threw just eight splitters on the day and earned one whiff, but his slider command has improved and Greene has a 3.22 ERA on the season heading into a rematch against these Dodgers next week. • Steady versus Rangers
Sandoval allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Sandoval walked multiple batters for just the second time in his last five outings. He was able to limit the damage to an Adolis Garcia solo home run in the sixth inning Saturday, earning his second quality start of 2024. Sandoval has had plenty of ups and downs this year, pitching to a 4.59 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 53:20 K:BB across 51 innings over 10 starts. The southpaw's next start is projected to be at home versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:54 pm
    • Patrick Sandoval goes six strong against Rangers
Patrick Sandoval allowed just a run over six innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Rangers.

Advice: Sandoval did walk three and threw just 56-of-99 pitches for strikes, but he also allowed only three hits while picking up five strikeouts. It’s the second time in three starts that the southpaw has allowed no more than a run, and it’s helped lower what was a 6.75 ERA on April 20 to 4.85. He’ll have a chance to lower it again Friday against Cleveland. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:01 pm
    • Dazzles in return from injured list
Rodriguez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Mariners, yielding just one hit and three walks over six shutout innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.

Advice: Rodriguez missed a little more than two weeks with right shoulder inflammation and made his return Saturday without going out on a rehab assignment first. He showed that he didn't need one, as he didn't give up his first and only hit on the night until there was one out in the sixth inning (and even that was just an infield single). Rodriguez was limited to just 82 pitches in his first start back, but he still managed to complete six frames because he was so efficient. The righty displayed his normal velocity and induced 13 swinging strikes on his 82 pitches. Rodriguez missed out on a win after the Orioles' bullpen struggled, but he looked as good as his fantasy managers could have hoped for. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:16 pm
    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out seven in no-decision
Grayson Rodriguez was outstanding in his return from the injured list on Saturday, racking up seven strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball in a tough-luck no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: The right-hander allowed just one hit and three walks on the night. That one hit didn’t come until Julio Rodriguez reached on a one-out infield single in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old hurler got 13 swings and misses on 82 pitches on the night — six of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 28 percent. He exited the game with a 2-0 lead and in line for his fifth victory of the season, but the O’s bullpen would blow that lead the following inning. Rodriguez will carry an impressive 3.15 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (40 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:50 pm
    • Good enough for win
Harrison (4-1) picked up the win Saturday versus the Rockies, yielding three runs on five hits and two walks over five frames. He notched four strikeouts.

Advice: Harrison was originally supposed to start Friday but got pushed back a day, with the Giants indicating it was because they were keeping an eye on his workload. His velocity was down a bit Saturday and he threw only 79 pitches over his five frames before getting pulled. While not overly sharp, Harrison was still good enough against the Rockies to pick up his fourth victory of the season. While the left-hander's 3.60 ERA and 1.27 WHIP are respectable, he's been a bit of a disappointment from a strikeout perspective with just 49 over 55 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:33 pm
