    • Valdez allows six runs in no-decision Saturday
      Framber Valdez allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Astros’ 9-6 victory over the Mets on Saturday.



      Advice: Valdez gave up 10 hits, walked three and struck out five. He allowed at least five runs for the second time in his last four starts. Valdez’ ERA is 4.11 on the year, though there is some hope for him to bounce back given his 3.55 xFIP. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Blue Jays on the road next week.

    • Marte has three-hit game in win against Oakland
      Ketel Marte went 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

      Advice: Marte started the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning. He has a hit in five of his last six games. In that time, he’s 10-for-22 (.454) with two home runs and seven RBI. On the season, Marte is hitting .290 with an .877 OPS and 49 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 3:36 pm

      Hogan Harris allowed three runs in 3 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Thursday.



      Advice: Harris gave up 10 hits, walked one and struck out three. He’s fortunate to have a 3.18 ERA given his xFIP is 4.65. Harris is far off the fantasy radar. The 27-year-old left-hander is set to face the Orioles at home next week.

    • Gallen throws six shutout innings in win vs. A’s
      Zac Gallen allowed no runs in six innings and got the win in the Diamondbacks’ 3-0 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.



      Advice: Gallen gave up one hit, walked one and struck out seven. Even though the Athletics offense is nothing to write home about, Gallen was excellent in his first major league start since May 30th. Gallen has finished in the top five of the Cy Young award voting each of the last two years and appeared to have similar form in this start. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres on the road next week.

    • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homers, drives in six in win
      Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI to lead Toronto to a 9-3 win over the Yankees on Saturday.

      Advice: Guerrero Jr. has been on an absolute tear. His first-inning two-run homer off Nestor Cortes was his sixth home run in nine games. With the bases loaded in the sixth, he cleared them all with a double to extend the Blue Jays’ lead. Not done there, he doubled once again in the eighth to drive in his sixth RBI of the game. The 25-year-old first baseman is slashing .296/.374/.470 with 13 homers, 40 runs scored, and 50 RBI across 361 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:08 pm
       
    • Isiah Kiner-Falefa collects four hits against Yankees
      Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 4-for-5 with a double, three runs scored, and one RBI against the Yankees on Saturday.

      Advice: Kiner-Falefa had an excellent day at the plate, collecting four hits against the Yankees while cross home plate three time and driving in one run.     • Chris Bassitt strikes out eight in win vs. Yankees
      Chris Bassitt allowed one run -- zero earned -- with eight strikeouts over six innings in a win over the Yankees on Saturday.

      Advice: Bassitt was excellent against the Yankees, tossing his third straight quality start. He tossed four scoreless frames before the Yankees brought a run in after an error in the fifth. Bassitt would close out a scoreless sixth with eight strikeouts on the day. The 35-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and a 91/37 K/BB ratio across 97 1/3 innings.     • Nestor Cortes gives up three runs in loss to Jays
      Nestor Cortes allowed three runs with five strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

      Advice: The Blue Jays got to Cortes right away as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took him deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. Alejandro Kirk drove in a third run with a double in the fourth inning. Cortes put runners on the corners with one out in the fifth before his day was done at 87 pitches. He struck out five. The 29-year-old southpaw will take a 3.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 98/19 K/BB ratio across 105 innings into a start against the Red Sox in New York on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 pm
