    • Clubs ninth homer
Schneider went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old took Nick Pivetta deep in the seventh inning, but Toronto was in a 7-2 hole at that point. Schneider has been struggling in June, slashing .170/.224/.302 through 16 games, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him moved down in the order from his usual spot hitting first or second. On the season, he's batting .225 with nine homers, three steals, 31 runs and 34 RBI in 65 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:37 am

    • Draws five walks Monday
Freeman went 1-for-1 with two runs and five walks in a 9-5 win against Colorado on Monday.

Advice: Freeman's patience was on display in the victory, as he tied a Dodgers franchise record by drawing five free passes. The veteran isn't shy about taking walks -- his 14.6 percent walk rate on the campaign ranks eighth among qualified MLB hitters and is on pace for the highest mark of his career. Of course, Freeman is plenty capable when swinging the bat as well, as he's currently batting .302, putting him on pace for his fifth straight season hitting at least .300. • Rengifo comes off bench day after wrist injury
Luis Rengifo came off the bench and struck out as a pinch-hitter Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: He then remained in to play two innings at third base. Rengifo didn’t start because of a wrist injury suffered Sunday, but it seems like he’ll be fine. Rotoworld Monday, 10:01 pm

    • Freddie Freeman walks five times in victory
Freddie Freeman singled and walked five times Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman became the first player to walk five times in a game since Matt Chapman on Aug. 12, 2021 and the first to both walk five times and collect a hit since, unbelievably, Rougned Odor on Aug. 2, 2018. Freeman had two runs scored and zero RBI to show for his success tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 9:08 pm
    • Crushed in short outing
Gray (2-3) allowed nine runs on 11 hits in three-plus innings Monday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Mets.

Advice: Gray never found his footing Monday and the Mets took advantage. Most of the damage came during a six-run second inning and his night was finished after allowing a two-run shot to Brandon Nimmo in the fourth. Gray had allowed nine earned runs over his previous 50 innings before Monday's brutal outing. His season ERA shot up from 2.17 to 3.31 as a result. Gray's next outing is projected to be in Milwaukee. • Gray hammered in loss to Mets Monday
Jon Gray allowed nine runs in three innings and took the loss against the Mets on Sunday.

Advice: Gray gave up 11 hits, walked none and struck out two. Ouch. Gray’s ERA jumped up from 2.17 to 3.31 with this blow up. He probably didn’t deserve that 2.17 ERA to begin with given his xFIP was 3.52 entering Monday’s start. The 32-year-old right-hander will look to bounce back against the Royals at home this weekend.

    • Schneider blasts ninth home run in loss Monday
Davis Schneider went 1-for-5 with a solo home run against the Red Sox on Monday.

Advice: Schneider’s home run was his ninth. He took Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta deep in the seventh inning. Schneider continues to hit for power with a .201 ISO on the year, but his average is just .225 this season. Rotoworld Monday, 7:23 pm

    • Out of lineup but available
Rengifo (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Monday's game versus the Brewers.

Advice: Rengifo exited Sunday's loss to the Giants with a left wrist contusion as a result of a hit by pitch. The infielder said he'll be available off the bench Monday, so he would seem to have a good shot to return to the lineup Tuesday. Luis Guillorme will cover third base in Rengifo's stead. • Luis Rengifo (wrist) held out of starting lineup
Luis Rengifo is out of Monday’s lineup with a wrist contusion, though he thinks he could play if needed.

Advice: Rengifo was hurt while falling down in trying to make a play at third base yesterday. Luis Guillorme is starting at third base tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 2:54 pm
