      Munoz earned a save against the Astros on Monday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning of work.

      Advice: Munoz had just a one-run lead to work with when he came into the game in the ninth inning, but he made things look easy with a perfect frame. The right-hander now was nine straight successful save conversions since blowing his lone save of the season against Colorado on April 21.       Andrés Muñoz set down the Astros in order in the ninth for his 11th save Monday.

      Advice: The Nationals scored four runs in the first inning and Abrams’ solo shot in the second inning made the score 5-0. He hit 18 home runs in 151 games last year and is halfway to that mark in only 49 games so far this season. Fantasy managers didn’t draft Abrams for his power, though. While he stole 47 bases last year, he has just eight steals so far this year.

      Advice: Ryan dominated the Royals, generating an impressive 15 whiffs en route to his nine punchouts. With Monday's effort, the 27-year-old righty collected his eighth quality start of the season. Overall, Ryan sports a 2.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 73:9 K:BB in 67 innings.       Advice: Marsh was done in by two swings of the bat -- a Jose Miranda two-run homer in the third and a Trevor Larnach three-run blast in the fifth. The Kansas City right-hander has been productive since returning from an elbow injury May 10, firing a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB in 23.1 innings. It was his highest single-start strikeout total since a 12-punchout performance back on April 13 against the Tigers as he induced 15 swinging strikes, including 11 on his fastball, and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW. He’s rapidly cementing his status as an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, having allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts at the outset of the season.     • Alec Marsh coughs up two homers in loss to Twins
      Alec Marsh surrendered five runs over seven innings on Monday in a loss to the Twins.

      Advice: The surface stats certainly won’t reflect it, but Marsh held his own on Monday afternoon at Target Field as he was ultimately burned by a pair of tape-measure homers as Jose Miranda got him for a two-run bomb in the third inning before Trevor Larnach tattooed a three-run blast a couple frames later. He struck out seven and only issued a pair of walks, completing seven frames to spare Kansas City’s bullpen. It was just the second time this season in nine starts that he’s allowed four earned runs or more. He’s notched at least seven strikeouts in three of his last four outings since May 10. The 26-year-old righty will carry a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 43/14 K/BB ratio across 50 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the Padres.       Hoskins (hamstring) plans to advance to hitting on the field Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: Hoskins will clear a significant hurdle in his recovery from a right hamstring strain, as Monday's activity will mark his first time hitting on the field since he landed on the injured list. While there is still no set timetable for his return to action, it sounds like Hoskins isn't too far off from a rehab assignment. "I feel as good as I can," Hoskins said.
