      Advice: The veteran slugger got hold of a 98.4 mph two-seamer from Jose Alvarado in the eighth inning, driving it 409 feet over the fence in right field. Ozuna snapped an 11-game homer drought with the blast -- tied for his longest dry spell of the year -- and while he has slowed down after a blistering start to the season, he's still slashing .296/.377/.560 through 86 contests with 22 homers and 70 RBI, with the latter mark tying him for the NL lead with Alec Bohm.       Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic didn’t formally present charges against Wander Franco by Friday’s deadline.

      Advice: Under the Dominican Republic’s legal process, prosecutors still have an additional 15 days to act, which means that Franco hasn’t been cleared of any legal repercussions yet. The 23-year-old remains on administrative leave until July 14. It’s extremely difficult to envision a scenario where Franco resumes his playing career in the majors, even if he winds up avoiding any legal ramifications, following allegations of having an inappropriate relationship with an underage minor.     • Pablo Lopez surrenders six runs in defeat
      Pablo López was tagged for six runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the Astros.

      Advice: López didn’t allow any extra-base hits tonight, but the singles were all bunched together. Four came in a three-run second inning that featured just one hard-hit ball. The remaining three runs all scored in the sixth after he allowed three singles to begin the inning and was pulled.     • Cole Ragans pitches well in no decision vs. COL
      Cole Ragans didn’t factor into the decision despite allowing just two runs in seven innings with eight strikeouts against the Rockies on Friday.

      Advice: Ragans did walk three and gave up five hits, but for the most part, it was a very strong outing and a nice bounce back from his struggles against the Guardians (4 2/3 innings, five runs). The left-hander has shown that 2023 was no fluke with a 3.28 ERA and 134/37 K/BB over his 19 starts and 109 2/3 innings of work.       Shane Baz took a loss after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Rangers in his 2024 debut.

      Advice: Baz allowed four singles and one double in the third, resulting in all three runs. He gave up just two additional hits and wound up with six strikeouts and one walk in the quality start.       Lopez (8-7) took the loss Friday against Houston, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Despite not allowing a homer, the Minnesota right-hander managed to yield six or more runs for the fourth time this season. Lopez generated a paltry eight whiffs out of his 91 pitches as Houston was dialed in on his arsenal. The 28-year-old now sports a disappointing 5.18 ERA across 99 innings on the season.       Ragans did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-2 loss versus Colorado, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The Kansas City ace generated 21 whiffs en route to fanning eight, earning his 13th quality start in 18 appearances. Ragans has rounded into a Cy Young contender with his last 10 outings, firing a 2.52 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 77:21 K:BB across 60.2 innings. Overall, he sports a 3.28 ERA with a 134:37 K:BB across 109.2 innings on the year. The 26-year-old currently lines up to face the Red Sox on the road next weekend for his next outing.       Contreras went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a 7-6 win over the Nationals on Friday.

      Advice: Contreras hit an RBI single in the fifth inning and tied the game with a solo home run in the ninth.
