    • Homers, steals bag in win
Altuve went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, two runs and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: With two men on and two out in the second inning, Altuve took Kenta Maeda deep for his 11th long ball of the season. He added another hit and when he reached on a walk in the eighth he picked up his 10th stolen base of the campaign. It was Altuve's second home run in his last seven games after a streak of 17 games without a blast. The second baseman's has been hot as of late, hitting .333 in June and for the season he's slashing a healthy .299/.350/.460. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • Fans two in defeat
Luzardo (3-6) took the loss Sunday against Washington, allowing two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in five innings pitched.

Advice: The two runs charged to Luzardo were both solo home runs -- a first-inning shot by Lane Thomas followed by a fifth-inning blast courtesy of Jacob Young. While he only yielded two earned runs, Luzardo allowed baserunners in all five innings and mustered just two strikeouts. The hard-throwing southpaw has seen a steep drop-off in his strikeout rate compared to last year, plummeting from 10.48 K/9 to 7.83 K/9 this season. Overall, Luzardo has compiled a disappointing 5.00 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP and a 58:22 K:BB across 66.2 innings. He will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend versus Seattle. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
    • Lively gives up four in loss to Blue Jays Sunday
Ben Lively allowed four runs in four innings and got the loss against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked three and struck out four. He had won his last five starts. Lively had allowed two runs through the first four innings. He was removed after walking Spencer Horwitz and Davis Schneider to begin the fifth inning. Both runners scored on Daulton Varsho’s grand slam off Nick Sandlin. Lively isn’t as good as his 3.02 ERA suggests given his 4.15 xFIP. He’s benefited greatly from an 85 percent left on base percentage and that caught it up with him a little bit on Sunday. He’s still been a really good find off the waiver wire for fantasy managers. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

    • Chisholm has two-hit game in loss Sunday
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: It was a quiet day for the Marlins offense as they could only muster one run against Washington. Chisholm’s single in the fifth inning temporarily tied the game at one. He’s hitting .260 with a .762 OPS and 34 RBI this year.

    • Luzardo allows two runs in loss Sunday
Jesus Luzardo allowed two runs in five innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Sunday

Advice: Luzardo gave up five hits, walked three and struck out two. He had allowed just two home runs in his previous seven starts combined, but two of the five hits he gave up on Sunday were home runs. Luzardo has now allowed nine home runs on the season (1.22 HR/9). He has a 5.00 ERA on the season, but his xFIP is significantly lower at 4.09. Luzardo’s been a little unlucky with a 66 percent left on base percentage, though his 21 percent strikeout percentage is down from 28 percent last year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Mariners at home next week.

    • Gets ejected Sunday
Machado was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets in the sixth inning for arguing balls and strikes. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two strikeouts.

Advice: Padres manager Mike Shildt was also tossed from the game after leaving the dugout to argue with the home-plate umpire. Machado slammed his bat in frustration with the called third strike but didn't make any contact with the umpire, so he shouldn't be subject to any further punishment from MLB. • Manny Machado, Mike Schildt ejected Sunday
Manny Machado was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: Machado and manager Mike Schildt were both ejected after Machado objected — correctly — to a called strike. It’s unlikely that either will face suspension. Rotoworld Today, 12:43 pm

    • Returns to third base Saturday
Machado started at third base and went 0-for-4 in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Machado recently missed four games due to a strained right hip flexor and was limited to DH duties in four straight contests following his return. The veteran was able to resume playing the field Saturday, though he didn't look like he was up to full speed while running out a grounder in the seventh inning. It's unclear how much the hip issue is bothering Machado, as he's batting just .200 (4-for-20) with no runs or RBI and seven strikeouts since returning to the lineup. • Picks up steal Saturday
Garcia went 1-for-3 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Garcia has two steals over his last six games, though he hasn't driven in a run in that span. The veteran outfielder is up to six thefts, 13 home runs, 40 RBI and 34 runs scored while slashing a shaky .218/.276/.417 through 67 contests. He's been held without a hit in 12 of his last 20 games, which has had a significant negative impact on his production across the board. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm
