      Advice: Statcast thinks Wong has been one of the game’s most fortunate hitters this year, but the luck shows no signs of stopping. His exit velocity numbers remain mediocre, but he has shown some legitimate improvement in terms of contact ability. With the Red Sox hitting him third of late, he’s a top-12 catcher for the moment.       Advice: Wong continues to impress in 2024 as he's up to 11 multi-hit efforts in his first 30 games. It was his first four-hit game since April 24 and bumped his season slash line up to .362/.389/.552 with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI.       Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a double, a steal, a run scored and a walk in Friday's win over Texas.

      Advice: Rengifo hit second in his first game since May 6 after a brief stint on the injured list. He ripped a double in the first inning before drawing a walk, stealing second base and scoring a run in the third. The utility bat was on a 19-for-46 (.413) tear over his last 15 games before landing on the IL. Rengifo is slashing .326/.379/.463 with nine extra-base hits and 10 steals through 29 games.     • Jesús Luzardo strikes out seven, earns win
      Jesús Luzardo completed six innings in the Marlins 8-0 win over the Mets on Friday. He struck out seven, walked none, and allowed seven hits.

      Advice: Luzardo has been fantastic since returning from the IL, striking out 15 in 11 ⅔ innings across two starts putting a rough start to the season behind him. However, be advised his fastball averaged just 94.7 MPH Friday. That was his lowest mark in a single start this season and after he’s already spent time on the shelf with elbow tightness.       Skenes (1-0) earned the win over the Cubs on Friday, issuing just one walk while striking out 11 over six hitless innings.

      Advice: Skenes was lights out in his second big-league start -- he struck out the first seven batters faced while holding the Cubs without a baserunner until Michael Busch's one-out walk in the fifth inning. Skenes has certainly looked as-advertised to start his career -- he averaged 99.3 MPH with his fastball Friday, generating a 44-percent whiff rate with the pitch. The 21-year-old right-hander has allowed three runs through his first 10 innings while striking out 18.       Paul Skenes pitched no-hit ball for six innings, striking out 11, in the Pirates’ 9-3 win over the Cubs on Friday.

      Advice: Skenes was overwhelming in striking out the first seven batters he faced, and he didn’t let up much after that. He allowed only one hard-hit ball, a 107-mph groundout from Miguel Amaya. In fact, six of his seven non-strikeout outs came on grounders.       Ronald Acuña Jr. is back in the lineup, batting first for the Braves against the Padres on Friday.

      Advice: Acuña received the day off on Wednesday as the Braves look for him to break out of his slump. He went 0-for-5 at the plate on Tuesday, which dropped his average to .245 on the season.       Santander (knee) is in the starting lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's matchup against the Mariners.

      Advice: Santander hurt his knee in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays after first colliding with the outfield wall and then hitting it again during a slide, which led to his exit from the game.
