    • Tommy Edman (wrist) moved to 60-day IL
Cardinals transferred Tommy Edman from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Edman now won’t be eligible to return for the Cardinals until the end of May as he recovers from his wrist injury. Chris Raycroft was selected from Triple-A Memphis with the added roster room. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:14 pm

    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Advice: Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result. He won't be eligible to make his 2024 Cardinals debut until May 24. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:47 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Rengifo was scratched from the lineup for Monday's game in Pittsburgh, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: He had been set to return following a two-game absence due to illness, but Fletcher relays that Rengifo is still experiencing some symptoms of the ailment and will get another day off to recover. Brandon Drury was added to the lineup as Rengifo's replacement at second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:15 pm

    • Luis Rengifo scratched on Monday
Luis Rengifo was scratched from the Angels lineup on Monday.

Advice: Rengifo was originally penciled in at second base and hitting sixth in the order. However, he has been replaced by Brandon Drury. According to Jeff Fletcher of the SoCal News Group, Rengifo is no longer sick, so we’ll have to wait and hear the reason for him being replaced. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:14 pm

    • Returns to lineup
Rengifo (illness) will start at second base and bat sixth in Monday's contest in Pittsburgh, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: Rengifo missed a couple games while battling an illness but feels well enough to give it a go Monday against right-hander Mitch Keller and the Pirates. He's sporting a robust .413/.481/.609 batting line with two home runs and four stolen bases over his last 14 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:52 am

    • On base three times in loss
Rooker went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs in a loss to the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: A day after slugging two home runs in the same inning, Rooker laced the only extra-base hit of the afternoon for the Athletics. Rooker's multi-hit effort was his second straight and third in the last eight games, pushing his slash line over the entirety of that span to a spectacular .407/.500/.852 across 32 plate appearances. • Belts grand slam
Santander went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Cincinnati.

Advice: Santander already had a nice multi-hit performance in the bag before capping his day off with a ninth-inning grand slam in the blowout victory. It was his fifth long ball of the year and first since April 17, snapping a 15-game drought. He posted a .505 OPS over his previous 13 games since his last multi-hit effort April 20. Santander is now slashing .218/.295/.427 with 23 RBI and 15 extra-base hits through 33 appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:10 pm

    • Santander has three hits, five RBI vs CIN
Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: It was only a matter of time before Santander started to get hot. The 29-year-old took Emilio Pagan deep for a three-run shot in the eighth innings that went 402 feet and left the bat at 104 mph. He also had a 107.3 mph single and 98.3 mph single on the day. He’s slashing .218/.295/.427 on the season with five home runs and 23 RBI. If you can, now would still be the time to try and trade for Santander before he really gets hot. • Brent Rooker stays hot with two hits in loss
Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Rooker now has hits in seven of his last eight games and has six hits in this weekend’s series against the Marlins alone. He’s now slashing .256/.348/.615 on the year with eight home runs and 20 RBI. Rooker is a notoriously streaker hitter, so we have no idea how long this heater will last, but he should be on rosters while he’s swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:55 pm
