    • Removed with hip tightness
Bohm departed Saturday's game versus the Giants after the third inning due to right hip tightness, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirery reports.

Advice: The Phillies are saying Bohm's removal was precautionary, and it's worth noting they were leading 9-1 at the time and the conditions at Citizens Bank Park were poor following a rain delay. It sounds like it's safe to call Bohm day-to-day, but the team could offer more clarity after the contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:43 pm

    • CJ Abrams collects two hits, steals base vs. Blue Jays
CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams knocked a base hit in the third and stole second to get into scoring position, but was stranded on the bases. Down by four runs with the bases loaded, he sent a fly ball to deep center field that fell just short of a grand slam. He settled for a sacrifice fly to bring home a run. Abrams added a base hit in the ninth, ending his day slashing .281/.348/.570 with seven homers, 23 runs scored, 19 RBI, and eight steals across 136 plate appearances. • Idle against lefty
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed Naylor will take a seat as fellow left-hander Reid Detmers starts on the hill for Los Angeles. David Fry will take over at first base and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Notches 10th steal
Witt went 1-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Witt's RBI single put the Royals up 3-1 in the seventh inning. He then stole second and scored on a Salvador Perez three-run home run. Witt is one of seven players to reach double-digit steals so far this season, though he's also been caught four times, most among those players. The shortstop is batting .357 during his seven-game hitting streak, and he's at a .318/.364/.538 slash line through 33 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:14 am
    • Begins rehab assignment
Friedl (wrist) began a rehab assignment Thursday and is 1-for-7 with a walk over two games for Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Friedl, batting in his customary leadoff spot, played seven innings at shortstop Thursday and a full game Friday as the designated hitter. Reds manager David Bell told Mike Petraglia of MLB.com that he'll have a better idea of Friedl's return timeline by the end of the weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:27 am

    • Collects easy save
Helsley tossed a perfect inning to earn a save over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Helsely retired the 2-3-4 hitters in the White Sox lineup on just eight pitches to secure the 3-0 win. Since blowing a save chance in his season debut, Helsley has converted 11 consecutive opportunities while allowing one earned run over 16 innings. He owns a 1.59 ERA with a terrific 19:2 K:BB this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:43 pm

    • Cruises to win
Gray (4-1) allowed three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Gray allowed just one extra-base hit and retired the final eight batters he faced. He's been excellent since returning from a brief stint on the injured list to begin the year; Gray has given up three earned runs through 30.1 innings while producing a 38:5 K:BB. He's turned in four straight quality starts after throwing five shutout frames in his 2024 debut. Gray's next start is lined up to come at home against the Mets. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:34 pm

    • Pulled after four frames
Nola did not factor into the decision Friday against the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Both of the Giants' runs came in the second inning on a Thairo Estrada double, though the damage certainly could've been a lot worse -- Nola needed 46 pitches to get through the frame, issuing four walks. The right-hander was ultimately pulled after throwing 89 pitches. Nola, who'd gone eight innings in each of his previous two starts, is 4-1 on the season with a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB across seven outings (43.1 innings). Nola's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Marlins in his next start. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:00 pm

    • Aaron Nola pulled after four versus Giants
Aaron Nola was lifted after allowing two runs and walking four in four innings Friday against the Giants.

Advice: A really odd start for Nola, who pretty much always lasts five innings unless he’s truly bad or hurt. Tonight, though, he walked four for the second time this season — he did that just once between 2022 and ’23 — and the Phillies didn’t think it was worth sending him back out for the fifth at 89 pitches. They were probably right, too, as the bullpen went on to allowing one run over five innings in a 4-3 win. Nola’s velocity is down, and he’s struggled to generate as many missed swings as usual. The hope is that he’ll get stronger, and he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt, given his history. Fortunately, even though his peripherals are well off, he has a 3.32 ERA through seven starts. Rotoworld Friday, 7:46 pm
