    • Trevor Williams finally allows homer on Tuesday
Trevor Williams was charged with three runs (one earned) over five innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams went 37 2/3 innings over seven starts to open the season before finally coughing up a homer when White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez took him deep into the second inning. The 32-year-old righty hasn’t generated enough strikeouts to make a significant impact for fantasy managers, but he’s been a nice back-end rotation stabilizer in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32/13 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Phillies at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. • Reynaldo López (back) likely to make next start
Reynaldo López tossed five scoreless innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Advice: López certainly would’ve gone deeper into the contest, but he was lifted for precautionary reasons following just 71 pitches (50 strikes) after his back tightened up on him. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern with Braves manager Brian Snitker telling reporters afterwards that he doesn’t expect him to miss his next start. The 30-year-old righty will bring a stellar 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40/16 K/BB ratio across 40 1/3 innings (seven starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Padres. • Exits with tight back
Lopez was lifted from Monday's start against the Cubs early due to back tightness, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. He didn't factor into the decision after allowing two hits and two walks while striking out four over five scoreless innings.

Advice: Lopez was removed from the game firing 71 pitches, and he likely would've gone back out for the sixth had his back not become an issue. He'll be considered day-to-day leading up to his next outing, but the club expects him to be ready for his next start, per Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. • Throws Monday, but far off return
Bradford (ribs) played catch Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: According to MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that Bradford could be cleared to begin throwing off a mound at some point later on this week during the Rangers' six-game homestand. Bradford was originally placed on the 15-day injured list April 14 with lower-back soreness, but follow-up tests revealed that the southpaw had a "very small" stress fracture on the 12th rib on the right side of his body. Bochy said that the Rangers are expecting Bradford to be sidelined for another month, which would put him in line for a return around the middle of June. Bradford went 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA in three starts prior to landing on the IL, but the Rangers may not have a rotation spot available for him once he's healthy. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:06 pm

    • Nationals-White Sox postponed
Williams and the Nationals won't play Monday against the White Sox after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Chicago, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday. Williams' next start will simply be pushed back a day to one half of the twin bill, and the White Sox will do the same with their scheduled starter for Monday, Chris Flexen. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:45 pm
    • White Sox-Nationals PPD, doubleheader Tuesday
Monday’s game between the White Sox and Nationals has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday.

Advice: It’ll be a straight doubleheader, with the first game beginning at 3:40 p.m. CDT. The teams will use tonight’s previously scheduled starters, Chris Flexen and Trevor Williams, in Game 1 and go with Tuesday’s scheduled starters, Erick Fedde and Mitchell Parker, in Game 2. • Working through mechanical issues
Senga (shoulder) won't face hitters again until he works through some mechanical issues, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 32 pitches in a live bullpen session last weekend, but he apparently wasn't satisfied with how it went. Senga will take a step back in his throwing program and go back to more controlled bullpen sessions without hitters involved until he's sure he won't be developing any bad habits as he progresses in his rehab from a shoulder strain. While the caution is smart in the long run, the hiccup will almost certainly ensure that Senga won't be ready to join the Mets rotation when he's first eligible to come off the 60-day injured list in late May. • Fans nine in loss
Gore (2-4) took the loss Sunday against Boston, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: After being chased in three innings by the Blue Jays in his last start, Gore went six deep for the second time this season and notched a quality start. Each of the three runs scored by Boston came in the second as part of a two-hit, one-error frame. One of the runs came on a wild pitch by Gore, with Jarren Duran stealing home. Gore has fanned at least seven hitters in three of his last six starts and has 51 punchouts across 40.0 innings this season. Gore's tentatively scheduled for a start against the Phillies on Saturday. • MacKenzie Gore takes tough luck loss against BOS
MacKenzie Gore allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Gore struck out nine and walked just two on the day while posting a stellar 30 percent whiff rate and 28 percent CSW. His slider was his best pitch today which is partially a problem because it’s his third-most used pitch and he threw only 17 on the day. The curve didn’t miss many bats and got hit hard in what was otherwise a pretty solid overall start for Gore. His ERA stands at 3.38 on the year but he gets a much tougher start next week on the road against the Phillies. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:43 pm
