    • Rangers recall Yerry Rodriguez from AAA
Rangers recalled RHP Yerry Rodriguez from Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: Rodriguez gives the Rangers a fresh arm in the bullpen, and he’ll take the roster spot of Cole Winn with Winn heading back to the minors as the corresponding transaction. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago
    • Throws second bullpen
Priester (lat) completed a bullpen session Tuesday and could face live hitters next, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Priester has thrown off a mound twice since going on the 15-day IL on June 6, and assuming he didn't sustain a setback Tuesday, should face batters soon. While the 24-year-old should be activated later this month, it's unclear if he'll stick with the Pirates or be sent back to Triple-A Indianapolis. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Recalled from Triple-A
The Blue Jays recalled Burr from Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: Burr allowed one run over 3.1 innings covering two relief appearances in an earlier stint with Toronto. He figures to operate in low-leverage situations. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago

    • Blue Jays bring up Ryan Burr from Triple-A
Blue Jays recalled RHP Ryan Buff from Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: Burr is up with Brandon Eisert heading back down to Triple-A. The 30-year-old right-hander will be an option in the mid-to-late innings in this stint with the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Today, 12:25 pm

    • Claimed by Arizona
Hollowell was claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks and was optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Advice: Hollowell will enter the D-Backs' farm system after being part of the Rockies' organization since 2021. He's made 32 MLB appearances with Colorado, posting a 6.20 ERA and a 40:22 K:BB across 40.2 innings. He missed all of May with an unspecified injury but has made four appearances since being reinstated from the IL. Rotowire.com Today, 12:07 pm
    • D-Backs claim Gavin Hollowell off waivers from COL
Diamondbacks claimed RHP Gavin Hollowell off waivers from the Rockies.

Advice: Hollowell will take the 40-man roster spot of Logan Allen after Allen was designated for assignment last week. The 26-year-old right-hander will provide some depth for the bullpen, and could work in the middle innings for Arizona this summer. Rotoworld Today, 12:04 pm
    • RHP prospect Perales to undergo Tommy John surgery
Red Sox RHP prospect Luis Perales will undergo Tommy John surgery.

Advice: The right-hander was removed from his outing on June 9 with right elbow inflammation, and after undergoing tests, it’s determined that the 21-year-old needs to undergo the season-ending surgery. Perales is one of the top pitching prospects in the Boston system, and he had reached Double-A with a 2.94 ERA and 56/12 K/BB ratio. Perales likely won’t see the mound again until late in the 2025 season at the earliest. Rotoworld Today, 11:44 am

    • Will undergo Tommy John surgery
Perales (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery next week, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Perales had to leave a start at Double-A Portland earlier this month with an elbow injury, and subsequent testing has revealed the bad news. The 21-year-old will likely be sidelined at least until late in the 2025 season, if not 2026. Perales held a 2.94 ERA and 56:12 K:BB over 33.2 innings between High-A Greenville and Portland this season. Rotowire.com Today, 11:35 am

    • Returns to bullpen
Richards struck out one over two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox. He gave up no hits and one walk in the 33-pitch appearance.

Advice: He had served as an opening pitcher in front of Bowden Francis in two of his previous five appearances, but Richards looks set to occupy a full-time role in the bullpen moving forward. The Blue Jays are expected to bring back Yariel Rodriguez (back) from the 15-day injured list this weekend in Cleveland, and he'll presumably step into the No. 5 spot in the rotation that had previously been covered by the Richards and Francis tandem.
