    • Tosses quality start for fourth win
King (4-4) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the year, and his third in four May outings, on 92 pitches (62 strikes). King has had trouble maintaining consistency as he adjusts to being a full-time starting pitcher, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 25 innings this month is encouraging. He'll look to put together another solid start in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 am
    • Fans career-high 12 in win
Ragans (4-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 8-3 victory over the Tigers, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out 12.

Advice: A clash with fellow star southpaw Tarik Skubal brought out the best in Ragans, who fanned a career-high 12 batters and generated a whopping 35 called or swinging strikes among his 100 pitches. The 26-year-old has reeled off 13 straight shutout innings over his last two starts, and he'll take a 3.34 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 76:21 K:BB through 62 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Minnesota. • Michael King posts quality start in win over Reds
Michael King logged a quality start in Wednesday’s victory over the Reds, allowing three runs on three hits over his 6 2/3 frames.

Advice: King struck out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The inconsistent right-hander has made a habit of winning in tough spots this year, and against the Reds in Cincinnati would certainly qualify. He served up a solo homer to Jeimer Candelario in the opening inning, then gave up a two-out, two-run double to Tyler Stephenson in the six. King generated 12 swings and misses on 92 pitches on the night — eight of those on his changeup — while posting a CSW of 30 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.33 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 67/28 K/BB ratio (61 innings) into Monday’s matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm
    • Evan Phillips to throw live bullpen on Thursday
Evan Phillips (hamstring) is scheduled to throw a live bullpen session on Thursday at High-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Advice: If all goes well with that session, he’ll begin a minor league rehab assignment there on Sunday. Phillips should only need a couple of tune-ups there before he’s ready to rejoin the Dodgers’ bullpen and return to his closer’s role. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:06 pm

    • Cole Ragans strikes out 12 in win over Tigers
Cole Ragans recorded 12 strikeouts over six scoreless innings on Wednesday in a win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ragans held up his end of the bargain in a highly-anticipated matchup against Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, limiting Detroit’s offense to just one hit and three walks over six shutout frames. The 26-year-old emerging ace generated 15 swinging strikes and a near-elite 35 percent CSW, finishing with a season-high 12 punchouts. He’ll carry a solid 3.34 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 76/21 K/BB ratio across 62 innings (11 starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the division-rival Twins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:38 pm
    • Will require several rehab outings
Phillips (hamstring) is expected to make 2-to-3 rehab appearances before being activated from the 15-day injured list, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Advice: Stephen estimates that Phillips is about a week away from a return, though how the right-hander fares during his rehab outings will ultimately dictate his exact return date. He's been shut down since May 3 after suffering a right hamstring strain. Rotowire.com Monday, 4:29 pm

    • Evan Phillips to soon begin rehab assignment
Evan Phillips will go on a rehab assignment before returning from the strained hamstring he suffered May 3.

Advice: Phillips will likely make 2-3 appearances in Triple-A. The first of those should come this week, and he should rejoin the Dodgers pen before the end of next week. Rotoworld Monday, 4:19 pm

    • Improves to 4-0
Neris (4-0) pitched a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts to earn the win Saturday against the Pirates.

Advice: Starter Shota Imanaga tossed seven scoreless innings, followed by scoreless innings from Mark Leiter and Neris in the 1-0 victory. Neris managed to leave with his fourth win, which already puts him just two behind his career high of six wins that he recorded each of the last two seasons. The veteran righty also has six saves in seven chances to go along with a strong 2.65 ERA, making him a valuable fantasy asset so far and the top reliever to target in Chicago's bullpen. • Throws bullpen session
Phillips (hamstring) threw another bullpen session Saturday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Saturday's mound session was Phillips' second since landing on the injured list May 5 with a strained right hamstring. He still has yet to face live hitters, but manager Dave Roberts said after Phillips' session that the right-hander is roughly a week away from rejoining Los Angeles' bullpen.
