    • Awaiting MRI results on arm
Woo was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against the White Sox as the Mariners await MRI results on his right arm, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: The right-hander missed the first six weeks of the season with elbow inflammation and is now potentially dealing with another arm issue a month later. Woo has been dominant in six starts for Seattle with a 1.07 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB over 33.2 innings, but his outlook is now up in the air as he continues to be evaluated. • Servais: Bryan Woo to undergo MRI on forearm
Bryan Woo has been scratched from Tuesday’s start against the White Sox due to a forearm injury.

Advice: Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters Woo is undergoing an MRI on his right forearm and the team is awaiting the results before making a decision on his status. It’ll be lefty Jhonathan Diaz taking the ball for an emergency spot start in his place. The 24-year-old righty has been phenomenal this season, when healthy, compiling a microscopic 1.07 ERA, 0.54 WHIP and 24/2 K/BB ratio across 33 2/3 innings (six starts). It’s a bummer for fantasy managers since this was such a tasty matchup, but the positive news is that it sounds like he’s not facing an extended absence for the moment. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:58 pm

    • Scratched from start
Woo will not start Tuesday's game versus the White Sox, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Advice: The Mariners have not yet said why Woo won't start as scheduled Tuesday, but an update on his status should come in the near future. In the meantime, Jhonathan Diaz will come up from Triple-A Tacoma to start in Woo's place. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:45 pm

    • Next rehab start set
Williams (elbow) will make his next rehab start Saturday and is expected to throw about four innings and 65 pitches, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Williams covered three frames during his third rehab outing Sunday and will continue building up his workload this weekend. The right-hander could require another start in the minors after that before joining the Guardians, but he should be ready for his season debut in the majors before the end of June. • Gavin Williams to make another rehab start Saturday
Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters Gavin Williams (elbow) will make another minor league rehab start on Saturday.

Advice: Williams continues to build up his pitch count and stamina as he progresses towards his season debut. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect has been on the shelf since spring training due to a lingering right elbow issue. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:08 pm

    • Receives injection
Flaherty (back), who received an injection Monday and is scheduled to play catch Wednesday, is expected to start this weekend against the Astros if he remains free of setbacks, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 28-year-old exited his start last Tuesday due to back tightness and originally lined up to make his next turn through the rotation Tuesday versus Washington, but his spot has been pushed back a few days. Flaherty's throwing session Wednesday should provide some clarity for his availability this weekend. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:54 pm

    • Jack Flaherty to start this weekend vs. Astros
Jack Flaherty (back) received an anti-inflammatory injection on Monday.

Advice: Flaherty has already been ruled out from making his next start on Tuesday night against the Nationals, but remains on track to take the ball to take the ball at some point this weekend against the Astros. Barring an unexpected setback, it appears likely he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. The 28-year-old righty has seemingly put it all together this season in his Tigers debut, returning to form as one of the premier fantasy starters in the game. It’s an encouraging update that he’s still on track to take the ball this week. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:26 pm

    • Goes three innings in rehab start
Williams (elbow) struck out three and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over three-plus innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: The Guardians seem to be building Williams up slowly as he works his way back from right elbow discomfort, an injury that first cropped up late in spring training after the 24-year-old hurt himself in a weighted-ball workout. Though Sunday's outing marked his third rehab outing, Williams was lifted after 50 pitches. He'll presumably need at least two more rehab starts to get stretched out to around 75 pitches, at which point the Guardians might be comfortable bringing him back from the 60-day injured list and inserting him into their rotation. • Report: Yankees might eye lefty relievers
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, it “would be ideal” for the Yankees to pursue a “wipeout lefty” before the trade deadline.

Advice: Rosenthal specifically mentions Marlins’ Tanner Scott or Andrew Nardi and acknowledges that “The acquisition cost for a pre-arbitration reliever such as Nardi...would be considerably higher.” He also mentions that the Yankees would be open to high-strikeout-rate right-handed relievers as well, but a lefty is an ideal fit. This, of course, highlights one of the threats to Tanner Scott’s fantasy value as he would almost certainly lose his closer role if he were traded to the Yankees. You’re unlikely to get much for Scott in a trade in fantasy leagues, but his time as a closer appears to be running out with the trade deadline looming. Rotoworld Monday, 9:17 am
