    • Andrés Giménez gets night off on Friday
Andrés Giménez is not in the Guardians’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the White Sox.

Advice: It looks to be just a regular day of rest for the 25-year-old second baseman. Gabriel Arias will start in his place and will bat eighth for the Guardians against Garrett Crochet and the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:29 pm
    • Out of starting lineup
Julien is not a starter for Friday's matchup against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The left-batting infielder infielder will get a break as southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the mound for Toronto. Kyle Farmer will start at second base and bat seventh in place of Julien. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:44 pm
    • Gets break Friday
Gimenez is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: The lefty-hitting infielder will get a break as Cleveland takes on southpaw pitcher Garrett Crochet. Gimenez is out of the starting lineup for the first time since April 26 and slashed .229/.288/.333 with five RBI and one home run in that 12-game stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm
    • Isaac Paredes plates lone run in loss to White Sox
Isaac Paredes went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in the Rays’ lone run in Wednesday evening’s loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The hard-hitting 25-year-old infielder got the Rays on the board first with a run-scoring double off of Chris Flexen in the fourth inning. That would wind up being their only tally in the contest though. Paredes also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances. For the season, he’s now hitting .300/.387/.523 with eight homers and 20 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:07 pm

    • Records fifth steal
Gimenez went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: After ending April with three straight multi-hit efforts, Gimenez has gone a mere 5-for-26 over seven contests to begin May. The steal was his first since April 28. The second baseman is at a .263/.333/.353 slash line through 151 plate appearances, but he's mustered just nine extra-base hits, including only one homer, after logging 15 long balls, 27 doubles and five triples in 153 games a year ago. Gimenez is also striking out at a career-low 15.9 percent rate, though he may need to give back some of his plate discipline to produce more power. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:58 am
    • Belts eighth homer
Paredes went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old continues to rake. Paredes has seven multi-hit performances in the last 12 games, a stretch in which he's batting .362 (17-for-47) with a 6:4 BB:K. The surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .299/.384/.520 with eight homers and 19 RBI, and with top prospect Junior Caminero tearing it up himself at Triple-A Durham (.340/.392/.681 over his last 12 games), Paredes is doing his best to ensure he won't lose his spot in the starting lineup once the Rays call up the 20-year-old phenom. • Isaac Paredes posts three hits, homers in win
Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a solo homer on Tuesday, leading the Rays to a 5-1 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes ripped an absolute moonshot to left field in the sixth inning off Chicago reliever Brad Keller for his eighth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 28. The 25-year-old pull-happy slugger has been a four-category fantasy monster this season with a .299 batting average through 34 contests. • Luis García Jr. (wrist) in lineup Tuesday vs. O’s
Luis García Jr. (wrist) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging sign that García is healthy and ready to go following an early exit from Sunday’s series finale against the Blue Jays due to left wrist soreness. The 23-year-old former top prospect has gotten off to a phenomenal start this season, batting .337 (33-for-98) with three homers and six steals in 29 contests. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:25 pm
    • Good to go Tuesday
Garcia (wrist) is batting third and playing second base Tuesday against the Orioles, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Garcia won't miss any time after jamming his left wrist during Sunday's game, filling his usual three-hole spot against the right-handed Corbin Burnes. Garcia has generated a hit in 13 of his last 14 games, including a four-hit outing Sunday prior to the injury. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:49 pm
