    • Adolis García on the bench Tuesday vs. Mets
Adolis García is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: It appears to be a routine off day for García, who has been struggling of late, batting .152 (17-for-112) with five homers and two steals, while also striking out 34 times, over his last 30 contests. It’s possible a mental break will help get things back on track. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:08 pm

    • Nolan Arenado out of lineup Tuesday vs. Marlins
Nolan Arenado is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Arenado has not been at his best lately, and after going 0-for-6 in Monday’s extra-innings win over the Marlins, the Cardinals will give their third baseman a day off. Brandon Crawford is getting his first ever start at third base while Arenado rests. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:51 pm
    • Looks good in rehab start
Wacha (foot) struck out six and gave up two hits and no walks over four scoreless innings in his rehab start Monday with the Royals' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.

Advice: Royals manager Matt Quatraro said prior to the outing that Wacha might need just the one rehab start before returning from the 15-day injured list and rejoining the major-league rotation this weekend against the Rangers. Given how well he pitched, Wacha looks to be a good bet to be activated this weekend, either on Saturday or Sunday. He's been sidelined since early June with a non-displaced left foot fracture. • Wacha (foot) fires four scoreless in rehab start
Michael Wacha (foot) hurled four scoreless innings in a rehab start Monday at in the Arizona Complex League.

Advice: Wacha allowed two hits and struck out six. The right-hander was placed on the injured list just before the start of June with a fractured foot, and is continuing to build back his arm strength in hope of making a return to the Royals by the end of the month. One more rehab start is likely before Wacha does rejoin the rotation. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:58 am

    • Solid effort ends in no-decision
Gray allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over 7.2 innings in Monday's 7-6 win versus the Marlins. He struck out four and didn't factor in the decision.

Advice: Gray pitched into the eighth inning for the first time this season and left the game up 4-1, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. The four strikeouts were a season low for Gray as he worked fast and efficiently, needing only 84 pitches to record 23 outs. The veteran's ERA now sits at 2.95 with a 1.02 WHIP through 13 starts. • Knocks four hits
Lindor went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over Texas.

Advice: Lindor wasted no time making an impact Monday; through two innings, he was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. He singled and scored again in the fourth inning before capping off his big day with an RBI double in the fifth. It was Lindor's third four-hit game of the year and first since May 30. Over his last 24 games, he's gone 33-for-98 (.337) with 15 extra-base hits and 18 runs scored. His season slash line is up to .242/.313/.432 through 319 plate appearances. • Lindor has four-hit game in win Monday
Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and two RBI against the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Lindor raised his average to .242, which is the highest it’s been all season. He isn’t having his best season, but his wRC+ is up to 116, which isn’t far away from the 121 wRC+ he had last year. Rotoworld Monday, 8:10 pm
    • Sonny Gray goes 7 2/3 in no-decision vs. Marlins
Sonny Gray allowed two runs over 7 2/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

Advice: Gray was long gone before this one was decided in a 12-inning marathon, but he managed to complete seven frames for the second consecutive start. He struck out four and only issued two walks. The 34-year-old righty has been excellent this season in his St. Louis debut, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 13 starts so far. He’ll bring a solid 2.95 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 95/22 K/BB ratio across 76 1/3 innings (13 starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Giants. Rotoworld Monday, 7:27 pm

    • Making rehab start Wednesday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said that Darvish (groin) will make a rehab start Wednesday with High-A Fort Wayne, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The upcoming rehab start will take a potential return from the 15-day injured list off the table this week, but Darvish shouldn't need more than one tune-up outing in the minors before slotting back into the San Diego rotation. Darvish previously bypassed a rehab assignment when he was on the IL earlier this season due to neck tightness, but the Padres will act more cautiously with the right-hander this time around while he works his way back from a left groin strain that has thus far kept him out for three weeks.
