    • Placed on IL with hamstring strain
The Yankees placed Stanton on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Stanton exited in the fourth inning of Saturday's 8-3 win over Atlanta after injuring his left hamstring while scoring from second base on a Gleyber Torres double. Trent Grisham came off the bench to replace Stanton on Saturday, and the former could be in line for a near-everyday role in the outfield against right-handed pitching while the Yankees perhaps look to give Aaron Judge and others more time at designated hitter sans Stanton. With Stanton on the IL, the Yankees recalled infielder Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:12 am

    • Giancarlo Stanton lands on IL with hamstring strain
Yankees placed OF Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Stanton is slated to undergo an MRI on Sunday to determine the severity and how much time he’ll likely wind up sidelined. Fantasy managers should anticipate him missing at least a few weeks, even if it’s a low-grade strain. The 34-year-old slugger, who has 18 homers in 69 games this season, suffered the injury during Saturday’s contest against the Braves. The timing is extremely unfortunate for the Yankees, and fantasy managers, as there isn’t a clear replacement for him at the moment with top prospect Jasson Domínguez on the shelf at Triple-A due to an oblique strain. • CJ Abrams clobbers 12th homer in loss to Rockies
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Nationals’ loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams socked a majestic fifth-inning solo homer to right field -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- off Rockies starter Cal Quantrill as part of a three-hit effort. The 23-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar has notched six hits, including one homer and one steal, in 10 at-bats over two games at Coors Field since returning from a brief absence earlier this week due to a cyst near his left wrist. It certainly doesn’t appear that the lingering issue is going to impact his on-field performance based on what we’ve witnessed over the last few days in Colorado. He holds an impressive .829 OPS with 12 homers and 11 steals through 68 contests this season as he continues to build off last year’s breakout campaign. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:21 am

    • Giancarlo Stanton leaves game with hamstring issue
Giancarlo Stanton was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Braves due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Advice: The 34-year-old slugger is set to undergo an MRI exam on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury. This is the type of situation that fantasy managers had been waiting for when Jasson Dominguez was tearing it up at Triple-A but had nowhere to play, but now that he’s on the injured list at Triple-A it’s unclear what they would do if Stanton was forced to miss substantial time. Trent Grisham replaced him on Saturday night and wound up swatting a solo homer. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:33 pm

    • Will miss games
Manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that he's expecting Stanton (hamstring) to miss "days," Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Stanton was removed from Saturday's game with tightness in his hamstring and is set to undergo an MRI on Sunday. While Boone is hopeful the injury isn't significant, he's still expecting Stanton to miss some time. Sunday's MRI should provide more clarity on the severity of the injury. Trent Grisham entered the game for Stanton and could be in line for more at-bats while Stanton's sidelined. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:07 pm

    • Homers again in loss
Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez's solo home run off Jameson Taillon in the fifth inning was the only run the Mets could muster Saturday. He later added a double in the seventh frame and walked in the ninth. Alvarez has homered on back-to-back days and has gone 10-for-19 with two long balls and six RBI over his past five contests. The young catcher is hitting .284 with three home runs and 16 RBI in 88 at-bats this season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:41 pm

    • Lifted with hamstring tightness
Stanton was removed from Saturday's game against Atlanta with left hamstring tightness.

Advice: Stanton seemed to aggravate the hamstring while scoring from second base on a Gleyber Torres double in the fourth inning. Trent Grisham pinch hit for Stanton the next time Stanton was due up. Stanton is set to undergo imaging Sunday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:26 pm

    • Francisco Alvarez homers in second straight game
Francisco Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Saturday in the Mets’ one-sided defeat at the hands of the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez supplied New York’s lone run in a blowout loss at Wrigley Field by taking Chicago starter Jameson Taillon deep in the fifth inning for his third round-tripper of the year. It was his second consecutive game with a homer after going without one in nine straight contests after returning from the injured list back on June 11. He hasn’t hit for a ton of power, but he’s batting an impressive .364 (12-for-33) with two homers and eight RBI this month. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:18 pm

    • Sitting Sunday, MRI on Monday
Marte (knee) is not expected to be in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs and will receive an MRI on Monday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Marte was removed from Saturday's game with right knee soreness, an issue that's lingered throughout June. The Mets will give Marte a day to rest before sending him for imaging during Monday's team off day to see if there's any structural damage. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:06 pm
