    • Continues hot hitting
Profar went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Friday's 11-8 victory versus the Royals.

Advice: Profar plated a run with a single in the sixth inning and added another RBI knock in the Padres' nine-run eighth. The veteran is working on a modest four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with a home run and five RBI. Profar's .330 batting average this season is second in the majors behind only teammate Luis Arraez (.342). Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:10 am
    • Could be back Tuesday
Robert (hip) will serve as the designated hitter in a rehab game Sunday with Triple-A Charlotte and could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Even with the positive news, manager Pedro Grifol cautioned that Robert won't return from the IL as an everyday player and will need a scheduled day off between every 2-to-4 games. Robert has appeared in three games with Charlotte to date, going 1-for-12 with a home run and five strikeouts. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:07 am

    • Luis Robert Jr. goes 0-for-5 on Friday at Triple-A
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Robert has gone 1-for-12 with a home run in three games for Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment. There’s optimism that he’ll be ready to return early next week, but he’s going to get a couple more minor-league games under his belt this weekend to continue knocking off the rust. • Homers again in win
Fry went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The homer was Fry's fourth in his last eight games. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a memorable May, going 23-for-60 (.383) with seven homers and 18 RBI over 21 contests for the month. He's slashing .352/.485/.629 with eight homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases over 40 games this season. Fry offers a right-handed option at multiple positions, though he's unlikely to be needed in left field as much with Steven Kwan back from a hamstring injury. Fry's bat has been hot enough to force a few tough decisions into manager Stephen Vogt's lineup choices moving forward. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:16 pm

    • David Fry stays hot, homers again
David Fry went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and a walk in a win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: What else is there to say about Fry? This long ball was his third in six games and it’s getting more and more difficult to deny his blazing hot start. He’s slashing a remarkable .365/.485/.629 with the plate discipline and batted ball metrics to match his production. Rotoworld Friday, 6:37 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) expected to return next week
Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times believes that Luis Robert Jr. (hip) will return to the White Sox’ lineup on Tuesday.

Advice: The 26-year-old superstar is currently on a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte, where he received a planned day off on Thursday. He’ll remain there through the weekend, and if all goes well, he’ll join the White Sox in Chicago for their battle against the Cubs starting on Tuesday. Rotoworld Friday, 3:23 pm

    • Two hits, homer vs. Brewers
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Thursday's 6-4 loss to Milwaukee.

Advice: Bellinger opened the scoring with a two-out solo shot off Colin Rea, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead in the first inning with his eighth homer of the year and his first in 18 games. While he hadn't been hitting for much power, Bellinger's been seeing the ball well recently -- he has hits in six straight games, going 11-for-27 (.407) in that span, including five consecutive two-hit efforts. The 28-year-old outfielder is now slashing .267/.332/.471 with 26 RBI and 19 runs scored through 190 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:34 pm

    • Steals first base of 2024
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 loss to the Brewers. He also stole a base.

Advice: The stolen base was notable because it's the first of the season for Bellinger, though he did miss some time with a fractured ribcage, which could have cut into his running. He had a career-high 20 steals last year as he reached the 20-20 plateau for the first time in seven MLB campaigns. Bellinger hasn't been quite as effective so far in 2024, though he's batting a solid .262 with a .774 OPS, and the 28-year-old has the talent to start racking up the counting stats in a hurry. • Homers in first game with Charlotte
Robert (hip) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Tuesday was Robert's first game with Charlotte after he spent the previous five days with the team's rookie-level Arizona Complex League club. He also started in center field and played seven innings, a good sign that he's nearing his return from the injured list. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:44 am
