    • Holds on for 10th save
Neris earned a save against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with no strikeouts

Advice: Entering with a 4-2 lead in the ninth inning, Neris surrendered a solo home run to Jose Caballero then allowed a single and a walk before retiring Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe to escape with the save. This wasn't the most encouraging outing after Neris yielded four runs in a blown save Tuesday night, but manager Craig Counsell showed his faith in Neris as the team's closer by relying on him again Wednesday. On the season, Neris is 10-for-13 in save chances with a 4.21 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 24:19 K:BB across 25.2 innings. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago
    • Héctor Neris gives up homer, earns save anyway
Héctor Neris picked up his 10th save despite giving up a solo homer in the ninth Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: The Cubs got Neris right back in there after he gave up four runs in taking a blown save and a loss Tuesday, and he got the job done, though not before allowing a homer for the second straight night. He’s 10-for-13 saving games in spite of his 4.21 ERA and ugly 24/19 K/BB ratio. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago
    • TJ Friedl scores run as Reds top Guardians
TJ Friedl singled and scored a run as the Reds triumphed over the Guardians on Wednesday evening in Cincinnati.

Advice: Friedl singled off of Tanner Bibee in the sixth inning, then rode home on Jeimer Candelario’s go-ahead three-run homer. That would be the 28-year-old outfielder’s only hit in four at-bats on the day. He has been having a rough time at the plate in-between stints on the injured list this season, slashing a mere .221/.338/.382 with three homers, 13 RBI and five stolen bases in his first 19 games. • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies. • Rebounds for sixth win
Lopez (6-6) earned the win Wednesday over Colorado, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: It was an encouraging outing for Lopez after he allowed seven runs and six walks in a loss to the Yankees in his last start. The right-hander notably didn't allow a free pass Wednesday. Overall, it's been an inconsistent first quarter of the season for Lopez -- his ERA sits at 5.33 with a 1.21 WHIP and 84:17 K:BB across 14 starts (76 innings). The 28-year-old Lopez is currently lined up to face the Rays at home early next week in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 4:30 pm
    • Records five hits
Correa went 5-for-6 with three runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 17-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Correa's first career five-hit game is the highlight of what's been a stellar run at the plate -- he's now 15-for-29 (.517) with a double and a home run over his last seven contests. The 29-year-old Correa is now slashing .290/.356/.459 with five homers, 28 RBI and 28 runs scored across 208 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:24 pm

    • Carlos Correa tallies five hits, Twins roll Rockies
Carlos Correa recorded a career-high five hits on Wednesday, leading the Twins to a lopsided 17-9 win over the Rockies

Advice: Correa singled five times, finishing 5-for-6 with an RBI and also scored three runs in this one, as Minnesota racked up a staggering 24 hits in a back-and-forth slugfest at Target Field. It’s pretty incredible the impact that a five-hit effort can have as it raises his full-season batting average from .271 to a near-elite .290 mark. The 29-year-old shortstop isn’t hitting for a ton of over-the-fence pop, but he’s been on a tear of late, batting .310 over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Today, 2:06 pm

    • Pablo López strikes out five in win over Rockies
Pablo López allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Rockies.

Advice: López wasn’t quite as dominant as fantasy managers might’ve expected considering he was facing a Rockies squad that historically-speaking tends to struggle away from Coors Field. Hoewever, he managed to limit Colorado’s lineup to just five hits, including a solo homer by Ryan McMahon, in a much-needed rebound performance after being shelled for seven runs his last time out against the Yankees. He recorded five strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’s been much better from an underlying numbers standpoint than his surface stats would suggest and remains an upper-echelon fantasy starter in the current injury-plagued landscape. He’ll carry an inflated 5.33 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 84/17 K/BB ratio across 76 innings (14 starts) into a home outing on Tuesday against the Rays. Rotoworld Today, 2:04 pm
    • Willy Adames powers Brewers to win over Blue Jays
Willy Adames slugged a gargantuan two-run homer on Wednesday, powering the Brewers to a 5-4 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Adames followed teammate Christian Yelich’s go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning with a colossal 446-foot moonshot to straightaway center field off Toronto southpaw reliever Tim Mayza. The 28-year-old shortstop has homered twice in his last three contests and is up to 11 round-trippers on the year, which puts him on pace to threaten his previous career-high mark of 31 big flies that he set back in 2022.
