    • Records four-out save
Hader earned a save against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter over 1.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: Hader was called upon with two outs and a runner on first with Houston protecting a one-run lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. He got Anthony Rizzo to pop out to end the frame, then completed the save with a scoreless ninth despite allowing a leadoff single. It was just the second time this season Hader was asked to get more than three outs, though he kept his workload relatively light by throwing 14 of his 18 pitches for strikes. The veteran closer's 5.63 ERA so far is well below his career standard, but he has converted four of his five save chances and has 25 punchouts over 16 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
    • Josh Hader notches four-out save against Yankees
Josh Hader recorded a four-out save on Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: Hader came on to record the final out of the eighth inning before heading back out to spin a scoreless ninth inning to collect his fourth save of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has converted four of five save chances in his Astros debut so far to go along with a bloated 5.63 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio across 16 innings (16 appearances). There’s zero reason for concern here moving forward as he continues to miss bats at an elite rate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:05 pm
    • Takes loss against Mariners
Hader (1-3) allowed a solo home run and struck out one to take the loss Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: Hader entered the game in the ninth inning with the score tied 4-4. He retired the first batter he faced but then served up the go-ahead homer to Cal Raleigh. Hader had turned in three consecutive appearances without giving up an earned run prior to Sunday, though he's now been charged with at least one run in six of his 15 appearances. • Josh Hader yields go-ahead homer in ninth
Josh Hader lost after giving up a go-ahead homer in a tie game Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: It’s the save situations in which Hader has struggled, but the loss today came after he was asked to preserve a tie. Cal Raleigh’s homer was the second surrendered by Hader in 14 2/3 innings this year. Given that his strikeout rate remains exceptional and his groundball rate is actually considerably higher than usual, we’re still not worried about Hader at all. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:01 pm
    • Earns sixth save
Bednar allowed one hit and struck out one over a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Bednar allowed a two-out double but otherwise looked sharp for the second consecutive day as he earned his sixth save Sunday, dropping his ERA to 9.69 and WHIP to 1.46 in the process. Despite the scoreless effort, the Pirates' stopper has allowed at least one run in seven of his 15 appearances this season. Pirate fans and fantasy managers alike hope these last two performances against the listless Rockies will serve as a momentum boost for Bednar, who entered the season as one of the top closers in baseball. • David Bednar turns in scoreless ninth for save
David Bednar tossed a scoreless ninth for his sixth save Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: This after he picked up a win Saturday. Bednar had allowed runs in three straight outings prior to yesterday. He’ll almost certainly get Monday off now, which could lead to a save chance for Aroldis Chapman. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:39 pm

    • Scoreless inning to earn win
Bednar (2-2) didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win Saturday against the Rockies.

Advice: Bednar entered in the ninth inning of a scoreless game and held the Rockies in check. It was a needed positive outing, as he entered Saturday having given up runs in each of his last three appearances. Bednar has an ugly 10.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 12 frames for the season, though there is no indication that he's in danger of losing the closer role. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:13 am

    • David Bednar earns win with scoreless ninth
David Bednar tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to earn the win against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Bender entered in the top of the ninth with the game scoreless. He tossed a clean frame, striking out one batter to send it tied to the bottom of the ninth. The Pirates would walk it off, giving Bednar the win. It a positive sign for the closer after giving up runs in each of his last three outings. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:31 pm

    • Notches third save
Hader issued a walk over a scoreless frame Friday. He struck out two and earned a save over the Mariners.

Advice: Hader needed 22 pitches (13 strikes) to finish off the 5-3 win, coming away with his third save as an Astro. It was his first save since April 19 and he's converted three of his four opportunities so far. He's produced an impressive 23:7 K:BB despite an unsightly 5.93 ERA through 13.2 frames. Hader has punched out seven batters while not allowing an earned run over his last four innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:44 pm
