      Advice: Hader came on to record the final out of the eighth inning before heading back out to spin a scoreless ninth inning to collect his fourth save of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has converted four of five save chances in his Astros debut so far to go along with a bloated 5.63 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio across 16 innings (16 appearances).       Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-4 win against Houston.

      Advice: Stanton hit one of three homers for New York in the victory, taking Spencer Arrighetti deep for a 447-foot solo blast in the third inning. It was the second straight game with a long ball for the slugger, and he extended his modest hitting streak to five games. Stanton has struck out 10 times in 20 at-bats over that stretch, so he's far from locked in at the plate, but three of his five hits during the streak have gone for extra bases.       Bradish tossed five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters in a no-decision against Washington on Wednesday.

      Advice: In his second start of the campaign, Bradish nudged his pitch count up a bit from 84 to 90 while completing five frames. The right-hander gave up just one run -- as he did in his first start of the season -- and racked up nine strikeouts but settled for a no-decision as both teams' offenses were quiet until the latter portion of the contest. In terms of health, Bradish is still working his way back from the UCL sprain he was diagnosed with in mid-February, though he already appears to be in good form; through two starts, he's posted a 14:4 K:BB while giving up just two runs and eights hits across 9.2 innings.       Kyle Bradish was outstanding in tough-luck no-decision against the Nationals on Wednesday night, racking up nine strikeouts over five stellar innings of one-run baseball.

      Advice: The right-hander allowed just four hits and two walks on the night. The only run the Nationals were able to muster against him came on an RBI single by Trey Lipscomb in the second inning. Bradish got 12 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night — five of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 34 percent. He left the game with a 2-1 lead and in line for a victory, but the Orioles’ bullpen was unable to hang on for him.       Reds manager David Bell said that Encarnacion-Strand, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after tests revealed a new fracture in his right wrist, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

      Advice: Initial imaging after Encarnacion-Strand was hit on the hand by a pitch late last month came back clean, but subsequent tests revealed a right ulnar styloid fracture. The 24-year-old has hit a disappointing .190/.220/.293 with two home runs in 29 games for the Reds this season. Cincinnati will turn to Jeimer Candelario to replace Encarnacion-Strand at first base in Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, while Santiago Espinal enters the lineup at first base.       The Reds placed Encarnacion-Strand on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a right ulnar styloid fracture.

      Advice: Encarnacion-Strand was hit on the hand by a pitch late last month and missed four games with lingering soreness. While initial imaging didn't reveal a new injury, it did show that the infielder has an old fracture that could be contributing to the discomfort. Ultimately, the Reds have opted to give him some extra down time, although it's not clear how long Encarnacion-Strand might be out. Cincinnati signed Mike Ford to the 26-man active roster to provide extra depth at first base/designated hitter while Encarnacion-Strand is out, and Cincinnati could also shift Jeimer Candelario over to first base and use Santiago Espinal at third base. Rutschman's steal was his first of the year -- speed is the one tool that doesn't show up much in his game.
