    Heliot Ramos went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the Giants’ 7-6 victory over the Cubs on Monday.

  • Report: A’s designating J.D. Davis for assignment
    The A’s have decided to cut J.D. Davis, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

    Advice: This is the move to make room for Lawrence Butler. We’re hard-pressed to see how Davis is worse than Seth Brown or even Abraham Toro, who has been pretty terrible since the A’s decided to make him their leadoff man.     Ian Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Giants on Monday.

    Advice: Happ’s home run was his eighth of the season. The three-run blast gave the Cubs a 6-3 lead in the seventh inning. It was Happ’s second home run in his last three games and third consecutive game with at least two hits. Happ’s wRC+ on the season is up to 115, which is the same as his career wRC+.   • Picks up three hits, stolen base
    De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

    Advice: For the fifth time this season, De La Cruz got three hits in a game. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in his third straight. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals in 72 games this season, which puts him on pace for 82 by the end of the campaign. The speedster carries a .242/.340/.447 slash line with 12 home runs and 31 RBI.     Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and two RBI against the Rangers on Monday.

    Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Rangers on Monday.



    Advice: Nimmo is now 10-for-17 (.588) with six runs scored and seven RBI over his last four games. His average is up to .240 with a .756 OPS and 39 RBI on the season. It’s been a down season for Nimmo, a career .266 hitter, but he seems to be turning it around at the plate lately.

    Cruz went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

    Advice: With Paul Skenes dealing on the mound, Cruz's two-run single in the first inning ended up being the deciding runs. The 25-year-old now has 10 of his 30 RBI for the season over his past nine games. He's been swinging a hot bat since the calendar turned to June, slashing .295/.325/.525 over his last 11 games.
