• Rehab games scheduled
Perdomo (knee) will play in the Arizona Complex League this weekend before heading out on a rehab assignment early next week, Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Perdomo suffered a right meniscus tear April 3 and had surgery. The report does not indicate which minor-league affiliate he'll be joining or give an estimated number of games or at-bats needed. Perdomo will return as the Diamondbacks' starting shortstop. The position has been handled by Blaze Alexander and Kevin Newman while Perdomo has been unavailable. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

  • Homers, extends hitting streak
Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Guardians.

Advice: Rodgers grounded out in his first at-bat before launching a two-out, two-run homer off Logan Allen in the following frame as part of a six-run inning for Colorado. The home run was just the second on the season for the second baseman and his first this month, where he's now batting .291 with nine RBI and nine runs scored. Rodgers has also hit safely in eight consecutive games. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
  • Homers in victory
Urias went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two total runs and two total RBI in a 6-1 win against Boston on Wednesday.

Advice: Urias singled home a run in the second inning and tacked on a solo homer in the seventh. The productive output came in a rare start for the infielder, who was in the lineup for just the third time over the Orioles' past eight games. Urias has struggled to gain traction on offense this season, slashing .219/.265/.344 with two homers, five RBI and 11 runs through 68 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm

  • Starting to heat up
Donovan went 3-for-4 with a double and a hit-by-pitch in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: This was Donovan's third multi-hit effort in the last five games. He's now gone 17-for-49 (.347) over his last 13 contests, though he has zero home runs and six doubles in that span. The 27-year-old is up to a .245/.326/.382 slash line with four homers, 25 RBI, 26 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases over 233 plate appearances this season. Donovan's lack of steals and mediocre sprint speed -- in the 42nd percentile, per Statcast -- makes him an odd fit for the leadoff role, but that's where he's hit for most of the campaign. Masyn Winn has also seen time at leadoff versus left-handed pitchers recently, but Donovan remains atop the order versus righties. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:28 pm

  • Notches second steal
Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, one stolen base and three runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Ortiz has drawn a walk in three straight games. His steal Wednesday was his second of the year, which has come on four attempts. The infielder is enjoying a strong first year with the Brewers, slashing .280/.382/.492 with five home runs, 18 RBI, 21 runs scored, nine doubles and two triples over 158 plate appearances. Ortiz got a chance to lead off in Wednesday's game -- the first time he's done so all season -- after batting no higher than fifth over the last week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm

  • Brendan Rodgers homers in win on Wednesday
Brendan Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Rockies’ 7-4 win over the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: Rodgers went yard for the second time this season in the second inning, taking Logan Allen deep for a two-run homer to extend the Rockies lead. He extends his hit streak to a modest eight games. The 27-year-old second baseman is slashing .266/.307/.356 with two homers, 20 runs scored, and 16 RBI across 199 plate appearances. • Outrighted to Gwinnett
Wendle cleared waivers Wednesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Gwinnett, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Wendle signed a big-league contract with Atlanta on Friday, but he was DFA'd three days later without playing in a game and will now join the team's Triple-A affiliate. The 34-year-old infielder has played in 18 games this season for the Mets, slashing .222/.243/.250 across 37 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm

  • Swipes two bags in win
Gordon went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 9-1 win over San Diego.

Advice: Gordon had gone just 1-for-15 with no stolen bases in seven games coming into Wednesday's contest. He's now slashing .230/.260/.374 on the year with five homers, 18 RBI and 15 runs scored while going 5-for-7 in stolen base attempts. Gordon should continue to serve as the Marlins' primary left fielder against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:07 pm

  • Three hits in loss
Castro went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Castro was in a bit of a slump -- he went 0-for-12 over the previous four games before this multi-hit effort. He had a hot stretch in late April and early May, but he's otherwise been little more than league-average at the plate. The 27-year-old is slashing .258/.332/.419 with four home runs, 16 RBI, 27 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 12 doubles and three triples through 55 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:01 pm
