      Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning against the White Sox, but the Mariners fell to Chicago in extra-innings.

      Advice: With the Mariners trailing 2-1, J-Rod obliterated a Michael Kopech fastball to right-center field that tied the game at 2-2. The outfielder now has six homers on the season; a disappointing total for a player who many (justifiably) thought would be among the league leaders in 2024.       Reynolds went 1-for-5 with an RBI on Thursday against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Reynolds hit a comebacker that glanced off Lance Lynn in the fifth inning to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. The outfielder has gone 15-for-46 in that span, while also tallying six RBI and five runs scored.     • Christian Yelich has three hits, steals base in win
      Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with an RBI and also stole a base on Wednesday in the Brewers’ victory over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Yelich finished with a game-high three hits, including a go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning, and also picked up his 12th stolen base in this one. He was able to make an impact on the basepaths Tuesday with his first steals since May 29.       Julio Rodríguez singled, stole two bases and scored two runs Tuesday against the White Sox.

      Advice: Rodríguez gave the Mariners a scare on one of the steals, as he jammed his left knee on a hard slide into second. Fortunately he was able to walk it off afterwards. He now has 16 steals on the year, and while that hardly completely makes up for the disappointing numbers elsewhere, it has allowed him to maintain some usefulness in fantasy leagues.       Christian Yelich went 1-for-4 with a double in the Brewers’ 3-0 loss to the Blue Jays.

      Bryan Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a triple in the Pirates’ win over the Cardinals on Tuesday.

      Advice: Reynolds broke up a no-hitter in the seventh inning when he hit a leadoff triple off Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas. His hit was just one of three the Pirates tallied on the evening, but it was enough to extend his hitting streak to nine games.     • Christopher Morel has two hits, HR in loss
      Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home runs and two runs scored in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

      Advice: Morel crushed a 409-foot home run off of Zach Eflin for his 13th home run on the season. Both of his hits were at least 102.7 mph, but he also struck out once in the game, so he showed his full profile. The 24-year-old is hitting just .208 on the year, so even though the power is undeniable, he’ll need to keep producing like this if he wants to remain a fixture in the lineup as the Cubs make a playoff push over the summer.       Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Morel connected for this third home run of the month and 13th of the season in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old is now halfway to his long ball total from last year through 66 games. Morel only needed 107 contests to record those 26 homers in 2023, but he seems primed to play more games this season if he stays healthy, and that could result in a new career best in the power department.
