    • Max Muncy delivers grand slam in Dodgers’ win
Max Muncy went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: It was his sixth career slam and fourth homer in three games. A career .228 hitter, Munch is at .263 right now, even though his strikeout rate is higher than usual and his exit velocity numbers are pretty typical. He’ll surely continue to put up excellent power numbers, but one should probably expect an average around .220 the rest of the way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

    • Goes yard at Wrigley Field
Profar went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Profar was the only source of offense for the Padres, providing a two-run homer in the top of the eighth to put San Diego ahead 2-1. However, the Cubs scored a run in the eighth and ninth to erase Profar's long ball and steal the win. At the age of 31, Profar has enjoyed a breakout season, boasting a .958 OPS and a 179 WRC+ through 150 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm

    • Profar’s two-run homer not enough in loss to Cubs
Jurickson Profar went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Profar blasted a two-run homer off of Shota Imanaga in the eighth inning to give the Padres a 2-1 lead after being stifled by Imanaga through the first seven frames. The veteran left field continues to stay hot at the plate, as he’s now 10-for-23 in the month of May with two homers and eight RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm

    • Logan O’Hoppe has four hits in win
Logan O’Hoppe went 4-for-5 with two RBI in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: All four of O’Hoppe’s hits were singles and only one of them was hit harder than 95 mph, but the 24-year-old won’t be complaining. The catcher was a popular breakout candidate this season and while he hasn’t set the world on fire, his .279/.330/.404 triple slash is solid from the catcher position. He’s not going to get too many RBI opportunities in a depleted lineup, but his 13 on the season is better than nothing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm

    • Ramirez has three-hit game in loss Tuesday
Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in the loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez increased his average to .245 on the season. His .231 BABIP is well below his career .280 BABIP. Despite the low average so far for the career .278 hitter, Ramirez has still managed 24 runs, seven home runs and 30 RBI in 35 games this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:15 pm

    • Taking batting practice
Thomas (knee) will take full batting practice on the field Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: It will be his first time doing so since he went down with a left MCL sprain in his knee two weeks ago. Thomas will need to do some running and other drills before being cleared for a rehab assignment, but he seems to be making nice progress. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm

Lane Thomas (knee) progressed to taking batting practice on Tuesday.

    • Not facing lefty
Carpenter is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.

Advice: As customary, Carpenter will slide to the bench with southpaw Logan Allen on the mound for the Guardians. In his stead, Ryan Vilade will make his 2024 debut and handle right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • D-backs activate Paul Sewald for Tuesday return
Diamondbacks activated RHP Paul Sewald from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Sewald has been sidelined since the beginning of the regular season with a left oblique strain. The 33-year-old veteran, who finished with a 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP with both the Mariners and Diamondbacks last season, will slide back as the D-backs’ closer which puts an end to Kevin Ginkel’s brief stint in the role.
