      Aaron Judge went singled, walked, stole a base and scored a run as the Yankees rallied to beat the Tigers in the ninth inning on Friday night in the Bronx.

      Advice: Judge drew a two-out walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but wound up being stranded there. He then started a key rally in the ninth inning with a leadoff single off of Tigers’ closer Jason Foley then came around to score the tying run on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.     • Jason Foley implodes in ninth inning on Friday
      Jason Foley suffered a brutal blown save against the Yankees on Friday night, surrendering hits to all four batters that he faced.

      Advice: Yikes. In what was a terrific pitcher’s duel that had the Tigers leading 1-0 heading to the ninth inning, Foley immediately got off on the wrong foot by allowing a leadoff single to Aaron Judge. Alex Verdugo then dropped down a bunt single with third baseman Zach McKinstry playing back, setting the stage for Giancarlo Stanton. Stanton then ripped an RBI double into right field on the second pitch he saw, and Anthony Rizzo followed with a run-scoring single to walk it off.       The Marlins traded Arraez to the Padres on Friday in exchange for Dillon Head, Woo-suk Go, Nathan Martorella and Jakob Marsee, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

      Advice: It's not immediately clear how Arraez will fit into the Padres' lineup, as San Diego already has a strong infield unit that includes Jake Cronenworth, Xander Bogaerts, Ha-Seong Kim and Manny Machado, but it's possible Arraez fills in as the Friars' primary designated hitter. The 27-year-old is slashing .299/.347/.372 across 148 plate appearances so far this season, and his departure from Miami leaves Vidal Brujan as the favorite to take over as the Marlins' main second baseman.       Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Padres are finalizing a deal to acquire second baseman Luis Arraez from the Marlins.

      Advice: Passan notes that the Marlins will receive a package of three prospects and a relief pitcher in return for the two-time defending batting champion. The Padres already have a strong combo up the middle with Ha-Seong Kim and Xander Bogaerts, so its likely that the plan is to play Arraez at either first base or third base. The 30-year-old superstar literally created a run on his own in the bottom of the fourth inning as he smacked a two-out single, stole second base and then raced around to score from second base on walk by Bryce Harper as the ball bounced away from the catcher. It’s possible that he tweaked a hamstring or something while zooming around the bases, but hopefully it’s nothing major. Look for the Phillies to provide an update on his status shortly.
