    • Homers among three hits
Tatis went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis opened the game's scoring in the fourth inning with a two-run home run off Slade Cecconi. The Padres right fielder added an additional RBI the next inning with a single. His performance Friday night was a welcome sight as Tatis entered slumping a bit, having not homered since April 19, hitting .130 (6-for-46) over that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm
    • Cruises to win
Gray (4-1) allowed three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Gray allowed just one extra-base hit and retired the final eight batters he faced. He's been excellent since returning from a brief stint on the injured list to begin the year; Gray has given up just three earned runs through 30.1 innings while producing a 38:5 K:BB. He's turned in four straight quality starts after throwing five shutout frames in his 2024 debut. Gray's next start is lined up to be at home against the Mets. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. homers, drives in three in win
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in a 7-1 win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Padres were able to hit three homers Friday in the easy win, and Tatis Jr. swatted the first of those roundtrippers with a two-run shot in the fourth. The 25-year-old star also singled home a run in the fifth, and he’s up to seven homers and 20 RBI over the first month-plus. It’s nice to see Tatis Jr. remind early just how impressive of a talent he is. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:25 pm
    • Chris Paddack goes six scoreless in beating Boston
Chris Paddack yielded just a pair of hits over six scoreless innings Friday as the Twins topped the Red Sox 6-2 on Friday.

Advice: Yeah, Boston’s offense is overrated, but this is the best Paddack has looked apart from a start against the White Sox. He got 12 missed swings, and only five of the 14 balls in play against him were hard hit. The win moves him to 3-1 with a 4.78 ERA. He’s not throwing well enough to be a quality play in mixed leagues, but he wouldn’t be a horrible option in a home start against the Mariners next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm

    • On base four times Friday
Arozarena went 1-for-2 with three walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 10-8 win over the Mets.

Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder has had a brutal start to 2024 that includes what would be a career-high 29.1 percent strikeout rate and a career-low .455 OPS, but Arozarena came through with a solid performance in a wild win. His fourth-inning long ball off Dedniel Nunez was his fourth homer in 32 games to go along with four steals, and Arozarena has contributed a respectable 14 runs and 15 RBI despite his woeful .145/.242/.265 slash line. • Reached base three times
Julien went 1-for-2 with two RBI, two walks and a stolen base in Friday's win over Boston.

Advice: Julien was stuck in an 0-for-11 drought since his last hit April 27. The lefty slugger drove in a run with a third-inning single before drawing a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. He's now slashing .222/.342/.485 with 14 RBI and two stolen bases through 31 appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 pm

    • Wins third straight
Paddack (3-1) yielded two hits and a walk over six shutout frames Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: After working out of a two-on, no-out jam in the first inning, Paddack locked in and rolled through the Red Sox. He's now 3-1 with a three-game winning streak; during that span, he's posted a 2.00 ERA and an 18:2 K:BB over 18 frames. Paddack forced 12 whiffs, including six with his four-seam that averaged 94.3 mph. The 28-year-old righty has dropped his ERA to 4.78 through six starts. He's currently in line face the Mariners at home next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:08 pm

    • Brandon Marsh knocks in two in Phillies’ win
Brandon Marsh had a two-run single and a stolen base Friday as the Phillies edged the Giants 4-3.

Advice: Marsh is still in a little rut that’s seen him go 3-for-19 with no extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts in his last six games. He got off to a fast start last year, only to cool off in May. We suspect that he’s a better player now than he was then, but he’s probably going to remain streaky with his strikeout tendencies. • Sonny Gray blanks White Sox over seven in victory
Sonny Gray didn’t allow a run over seven innings with six strikeouts to help the Cardinals to a 3-0 victory over the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Gray was outstanding against a White Sox lineup that shouldn’t be legal. The right-hander gave up just three hits over those seven frames, and he issued one walk while throwing 65-of-94 pitches for strikes. Over his last two starts, Gray has allowed just a single earned run while striking out 15 over 13 innings. That’ll work. He’ll face the Mets next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm
