    • Cora: Tyler O’Neill to undergo imaging on knee
      Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters Tuesday that Tyler O’Neill will undergo additional testing on his right knee.

      Advice: O’Neill has been sent back to Boston to undergo additional imaging for precautionary reason to rule out anything significant. The 28-year-old slugger has missed three straight contests due to right knee soreness, but it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list.       O'Neill has been sent back to Boston to receive imaging on his sore right knee, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Red Sox manager Alex Cora indicated that it's more for peace of mind than a worry that O'Neill is dealing with a significant injury, but it's still not an encouraging development. O'Neill will miss out on a third straight start Tuesday against the Orioles, and it's safe to assume he won't play in the series finale in Baltimore on Wednesday, either.       Advice: O’Neill exited Saturday’s game against the Brewers with right knee soreness and has now missed two straight games. The Red Sox haven’t expressed any concern and perhaps a few days off is just what the 28-year-old needs. O’Neill has struggled since missing a little over a week with concussion symptoms after a collision with Rafael Devers in left field. In 111 plate appearances since then, O’Neill is slashing .200/.279/.380 with four home runs, nine RBI, and a 40.5 percent strikeout rate.
