      Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

      Advice: McMahon took Jordan Hicks deep with a 377-foot shot that left the bat at 103.5 mph. He also added a 110 mph groundout and struck the ball well on Sunday.       Advice: Stott has started 39 of the team’s 44 games so far this season, so this is just a routine day off. Edmundo Sosa will start at shortstop and bat eight while Whit Merrifield will play second base. Since Trea Turner went down with an injury, Merrifield has gotten a lot more playing time, but he’s hitting just .156 in 10 games in May, so there hasn’t been much to write home about. The second baseman has just one stolen base on the year after reaching double digits in each of the previous eight full-length seasons, but the rest of his numbers are strong.
