      Advice: Marte drove in the Mets' only run of the game with an RBI single in the top of the first, following a leadoff double from Brandon Nimmo to open the frame. The right fielder would add another single and a walk in the contest while also swiping his seventh bag of the season. Marte has struggled a bit at the plate as of late and is batting just .188 (3-for-16) in May. However, he's also tallied multiple hits in five of his last 11 games.       Starling Marte went 2-for-3 with an RBI and also stole a base on Saturday in the Mets’ loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Marte was one of the few bright spots for the Mets in this one as they managed just six hits combined against Rays starter Zack Littell and a trio of relievers. It’s still early, but the 35-year-old veteran outfielder has looked rejuvenated this season, batting .275/.313/.408 with 16 runs scored, four homers, 15 RBI and seven steals in 129 plate appearances.       Advice: There was a rain delay before the game and more inclement weather during the contest, but Suarez seemed undaunted as he became the first six-game winner in baseball (Tyler Glasnow joined him later Saturday). It speaks as to how well Suarez has pitched this season that this was easily his worst start since his first outing of the season when he allowed three runs in five innings. The three runs the left-hander gave up Saturday matched his total from his previous five starts. With a matchup versus the Marlins looming next week, Suarez has a good chance to keep rolling.       Adley Rutschman went 3-for-4 with a solo homer on Saturday, leading the Orioles to a 2-1 victory over the Reds.

      Advice: Rutschman spearheaded Baltimore’s offense in a rare low-scoring showdown at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park with his third three-hit effort of the season. He connected for a solo homer to left-center field -- his fifth round-tripper of the season -- off Reds southpaw Andrew Abbott in the fifth inning, which wound up being the difference in the contest.       Advice: Suárez was staked to a commanding nine-run advantage by the start of the third inning at a rain-soaked Citizens Bank Park, and wound up cruising to a relatively easy victory, gobbling up six frames before handing an 11-run lead over to Philadelphia’s bullpen. The 28-year-old southpaw isn’t overpowering, but he’s been extremely effective this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts.       Corbin Carroll went 1-for-4 with a single as the Diamondbacks were demolished by the Padres on Saturday night in San Diego.

      Advice: Hitting out of the eighth spot in the Diamondbacks’ lineup, the 23-year-old outfielder singled with two outs in the fifth inning but was left stranded at first base. He struck out in each of his other two plate appearances in the ballgame. It’s been a brutal start to the season for Carroll, as he’s hitting a paltry .194/.291/.242 with one home run, five RBI and eight stolen bases through his first 32 ballgames.
