    • Drawing start Sunday
Blanco will start Sunday's game against the Tigers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Heading into the weekend, Blanco wasn't expected to make a start against the Tigers, but he ended up getting pushed up in the pitching schedule after Justin Verlander had his turn in the rotation skipped due to a neck injury. As a result of the change in the pitching schedule, Blanco no longer lines up for two starts during the upcoming week. After Sunday's outing, the right-hander is on track to make his next start next weekend versus the Orioles in Houston. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:12 am

    • Fans seven in fourth win
Manaea (4-3) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five-plus innings in a 2-1 victory over the Padres. He struck out seven.

Advice: The veteran southpaw did serve up a homer for the fifth straight start, a solo shot in the fifth inning by Jackson Merrill, but it was the only damage Manaea surrendered. It was a strong bounce-back effort after he'd been tagged for 11 earned runs in 9.1 frames over his prior two outings, and Manaea will take a 4.11 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 67:26 K:BB through 65.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week against the Rangers. • Sean Manaea strikes out seven in win
Sean Manaea allowed one earned run in five-plus innings of work on Friday in a 2-1 win over the Padres. He struck out seven and walked one.

Advice: This was a nice bounce-back for Manaea after a rough outing in London last weekend. He leaned on his two-seamer for a bevy of called strikes and whiffs as he crowded the Padres hitters all night. Their only hard-hit ball was Jackson Merrill’s impressive solo shot to center field through the rain. Still, Manaea is a true five-and-dive throwing fewer than six innings in five straight outings and in 10 of his 13 starts this season. Rotoworld Friday, 8:16 pm

    • Labors in no-decision
Assad did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Assad opened with two scoreless frames then allowed a run in the third on a double by Isaac Paredes and another on a solo home run by Jose Siri in the fourth. With two runners on and two outs in the fifth, Assad was pulled at 90 pitches with a 2-1 deficit. Since his last win on May 15, Assad has failed to reach six innings or record a win in five straight outings and has seen his ERA climb from 1.49 to 2.81. He tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next Monday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:44 pm

    • Javier Assad lifted in fifth versus Rays
Javier Assad was lifted after allowing two runs in 4 2/3 innings Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Tyson Miller stranded two runners after taking over for Assad in the fifth. After opening the season 4-0 with a 1.49 ERA in nine starts, Assad has gone 0-2 with a 5.32 ERA in his last five turns. The truth for Assad is somewhere in between, of course, but it’s probably a little closer to the latter than the former. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:14 pm

    • Roughed up in loss
Dunning (4-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers, allowing six runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

Advice: Dunning dug the Rangers an early 3-0 hole after surrendering a three-run homer to Will Smith in the first inning. He kept the Dodgers off the board the next two frames but loaded up the bases in the fourth before being replaced by Jonathan Hernandez with two outs. Hernandez gave up a double to Mookie Betts, which plated two runs that were charged to Dunning. He's now given up 14 runs (12 earned) over his last 17 innings and hasn't pitched more than five frames since April 28. The 29-year-old owns a 4.80 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 59:26 K:BB in 54.1 innings and will look to get back on track in a weekend start against Seattle. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:33 am

    • Dominates Giants for sixth win
Blanco (6-2) got the win over the Giants on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings.

Advice: Blanco matched his season high with eight strikeouts. His lone blemish on the night was allowing a solo home run to Brett Wisely in the third inning. It was an encouraging bounceback effort from the 30-year-old after allowing eight runs and combining to strike out eight over his prior two starts coming into Tuesday's game. Blanco now owns a 2.67 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 67:28 K:BB in 70.2 innings and lines up for an enticing matchup against the White Sox early next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:14 am

    • Dane Dunning gives up six runs to Dodgers
Dane Dunning was tagged for six runs in 3 2/3 innings by the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Dunning was unlucky in the first, when Will Smith hit a 375-foot fly that would have been an out in most ballparks, only to go for a three-run homer in Dodger Stadium (Statcast said it would have left four ballparks). Still, Dunning also made his own trouble by walking three and hitting a batter before being pulled in the fourth. He’s on a poor run of late and his ERA is up to 4.80, but he does have a pretty good matchup Sunday in Seattle. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:23 pm

    • Ronel Blanco holds Giants to one run in victory
Ronel Blanco limited the Giants to one run and three hits over six innings in the Astros’ 3-1 victory Tuesday.

Advice: Blanco matched his high total with eight strikeouts in bouncing back from consecutive poor showings against the Twins and Cardinals. The only damage against him came on a Brett Wisely homer in the third. The win moved Blanco to 6-2 with a 2.67 ERA. He’ll get the White Sox next. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:26 pm
