Paredes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Paredes was hit in the helmet by a pitch in the seventh inning of Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Yankees, but he stayed in the game after being checked out. His absence from the lineup a day later may create some level of concern about his health, but Paredes could just be receiving a maintenance day after he had started in each of the Rays' last nine games. Amed Rosario will replace Paredes at the hot corner Monday, and for now, the expectation is that Paredes will be back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:48 pm

    • Pete Alonso drives in two runs in win over Braves
Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Mets rallied to beat the Braves.

Advice: Alonso got the Mets on the board with a run-scoring single off of Bryce Elder in the third inning. He then plated their other run with an RBI double off of Elder in the sixth inning that tied the game at 2-2. The 29-year-old slugger’s bat has started to pick up a bit, but he’s still hitting a disappointing .223/.305/.453 with nine homers, 22 RBI and one stolen base on the season. • Isaac Paredes plates lone run in loss to White Sox
Isaac Paredes went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in the Rays’ lone run in Wednesday evening’s loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The hard-hitting 25-year-old infielder got the Rays on the board first with a run-scoring double off of Chris Flexen in the fourth inning. That would wind up being their only tally in the contest though. Paredes also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances. For the season, he’s now hitting .300/.387/.523 with eight homers and 20 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:07 pm

    • Belts eighth homer
Paredes went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old continues to rake. Paredes has seven multi-hit performances in the last 12 games, a stretch in which he's batting .362 (17-for-47) with a 6:4 BB:K. The surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .299/.384/.520 with eight homers and 19 RBI, and with top prospect Junior Caminero tearing it up himself at Triple-A Durham (.340/.392/.681 over his last 12 games), Paredes is doing his best to ensure he won't lose his spot in the starting lineup once the Rays call up the 20-year-old phenom. • Big day at plate in win
Alonso went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Alonso finally showed some signs of life at the plate Tuesday night after breaking out of a slump. Before his two-RBI double in the fifth, Alonso had one hit over his last 41 at-bats. He later followed things up with a huge insurance home run in the eighth to put the Mets up 7-4. Alonso is now slashing just .212/.297/.445 with nine homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs and a 14:32 BB:K in 155 plate appearances, though Tuesday's outburst showed some welcoming signs that his offense could be emerging once again. • Pete Alonso homers, doubles in Mets win
Pete Alonso went 2-for-5 with a homer, double, and three RBI in the Mets’ win over the Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Advice: Alonso broke out in a big way against Miles Mikolas and the Cardinals after a 2-for-44 lull. His two-run double gave the Mets the lead and his eighth inning homer added a valuable insurance run as Adam Ottavino ran into trouble in the ninth. All three of the balls Alonso put in play were hit over 105 MPH exit velocity. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:21 pm

    • Isaac Paredes posts three hits, homers in win
Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a solo homer on Tuesday, leading the Rays to a 5-1 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes ripped an absolute moonshot to left field in the sixth inning off Chicago reliever Brad Keller for his eighth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 28. The 25-year-old pull-happy slugger has been a four-category fantasy monster this season with a .299 batting average through 34 contests. • Pete Alonso gets first day off Monday vs. STL
Pete Alonso is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Alonso will sit for the first time this year against right-hander Kyle Gibson and St. Louis. With the Polar Bear out of action, the Mets will start DJ Stewart and he’ll hit fourth. Rotoworld Monday, 1:56 pm

    • Getting first day off
Alonso is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: He'll take a seat for the first time all season after recently falling into a 1-for-28 drought at the plate that has brought his slash line down to .206/.295/.420. DJ Stewart will draw the start at first base Monday, but Alonso should be back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:53 pm
